Publisher's Summary

Theatre professors and spouses, Nicky Abbondanza and Noah Oliver, are on their honeymoon at a Hawaiian resort, where musclemen in grass skirts are keeling over like waterfalls. Things erupt faster than a volcano when Nicky and Noah, along with their best friends Martin and Ruben, try to stage a luau show.

Nicky and Noah will need to use their drama skills to figure out who is bringing the grass curtain down on male hula dancers - before things go coconuts for the handsome couple. You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino’s fast-paced, side-splittingly funny, edge-of-your-seat entertaining fourth novel in this delightful series. Curtain up, and aloha!

A fun and funny summertime listen

If you haven't read any Nicky and Noah Mysteries and love a funny sweet romance you must read these. You can read in any order but you will know the characters better if you start at the beginning.
For those of you that have not read any Nicky and Noah Mysteries, Murder seems to follow them wherever they go. In Drama Luau, Nicky and Noah have just got married and due to outbreaks of lactose intolerance and gluten intolerance outbreaks their parents business are suffering and they can no longer pay for the honeymoon. Not to worry though. Martin the head of their department and best friend has set them up with producing a hula production in Hawaii. When the hula dancers start dropping dead like flies, Nicky has to put on his Sherlock Holmes hat and help solve these mysterious deaths.

These stories get funnier each time I read one. I adore Nicky and Noah and Martin as well. In this one there are several other characters as well but my favorite was Taavi a native of the island and only 7. The plot is a mystery of course and again I had no clue until the end of who or why was doing the murders, this one the why was really a big surprise!

If you are looking for a fast-paced, fun story that will make you laugh I highly recommend this one!

The audio is very good. Well paced narration and acted not read. I loved it

Another great book in the series

I love this series! It is unlike anything else I have ever read. Joe Cosentino has a unique style that combines hysterical humor, heartfelt emotion, and an intriguing mystery plot. Nicky and Noah (now married) direct a luau show in Hawaii. Dancers drop like flies as the two amateur sleuths go through their crazy antics to solve the case. This story is the most heartfelt so far with the introduction of Taavi. Like the others, this book can be read as a stand-alone, but it is more fun to read (or listen to) the series in order and follow the growth of the main characters. Griswold Addams expertly captures the humor, the characters, and the narrative. The previous narrators have all been good, but he is my favorite so far.

Campy cozy

This is my first Nicky and Noah mystery and I enjoyed it. Dropping into the middle of a series can sometimes be harrowing, but not this time. I was able to settle into the story easily, figuring out relationships and dynamics and nine inch, uh, members. This is a true cozy – no sex. Or, it’s all behind the closed door. And since it’s a honeymoon, there’s plenty of it. A cute dichotomy.

Nicky and Noah were supposed to have help from their parents to pay for their honeymoon but the well run dry so the men are on their own. They use their theatrical skills to direct a luau for hotel guests to help offset the costs. The problem? Members of the troupe are dying and disappearing before anyone can verify their deaths. Like, bodies disappearing. And since the duo are known for the murder-solving abilities, it’s up to them – and the bumbling police – to figure out who did it. Before time runs out on their honeymoon and, perhaps, their lives.

This is a book full of humor, despite the murders. Plenty of laughing out loud fun to be had. And great feels as the two men add to their family. I’m glad I got a chance to listen to it, and I’d definitely pick up more in the series. Griswold Addams is a new-to-me narrator and I thought he did a decent job. Overall, I enjoyed the book

4.5 Stars Overall A Great Mystery

🎧 narrated Griswald Adamms
Beautifully voiced for the characters voices coming to life with different vocals. The narrator was new for me and I was impressed.
📗 Nicky and Noah's honeymoon vacation was a ball of laughs, banters, disappearances and murders although they couldn't get away from the homophobic slurs.
A very outgoing 7 year Taavi makes himself known to the guys. Noah takes an immediate liking to Taavi after hearing his family situation. A great Who Done It mystery with the characters putting on a show of their lives. A great ending to the book for them all.
Another mystery with Nicky and Noah although they're currently directing a play in Hawaii for their honeymoon
