Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Publisher's Summary
Out of all the mysterious boarders who call Sanctuary home, no one is more antisocial or withdrawn than Maxis Drago. But then, it's hard to blend in with the modern world when you have a 50-foot wingspan.
Centuries ago he was cursed by an enemy who swore to see him fall. An enemy who took everything from him and left him forever secluded.
But Fate is a bitch, with a wicked sense of humor. And when she throws old enemies together and threatens the wife he thought had died centuries ago, he comes back with a vengeance. Modern-day New Orleans has become a battleground for the oldest of evils. And two dragons will hold the line or go down in flames in Dragonbane, the next explosive Dark-Hunter novel from number-one New York Times best-selling author Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Well, Hello Dragon!
Where does Dragonbane rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I rank Dragonbane among the top rated audiobooks I have. Why, because it is one of the books I will listen to more than once.
What did you like best about this story?
We got to see the back story of Maxis Drago. I had been so curious about him from other Dark Hunter books, and now I got to see more about him.
Which scene was your favorite?
Finding out about all the power he truly has, how he came into that power, and hearing more about the power of Savitar. Now I can't wait until we get his full back story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I wanted to listen to it in one sitting, but I also wanted to make it last until it was time for my new credits. I go through books so fast!
Any additional comments?
If you like the Dark Hunters, you will like this book. As always Sherrilyn Kenyon gives out just enough information to keep the story moving forward into the next book. Can't wait!

Sherrilyn Kenyon's Books Rock!!
SK is one of my favorite PNR authors and I have read or listened to almost all of her books at least once, some multiple times. Her stories have the right mix of action, humor and romance, which is why her books rock!
However, I love some of her books more than others and Dragonbane is probably my least favorite so far. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book and I loved Max's story. I just felt this story was a little all over the place and had too many characters for the length of the story. If the story had been a little bit longer, I think it would have been perfect.
Looking forward to the next book in the Dark Hunter's series but in the meantime at least we have the next League book coming out around 11.03.15 :-)

No surprises.
this series needs some life breathed into the gut and the swords displaced into more character over all. I have listened to most of the books in this series. Thus the 3 stars because there is always something to like and enjoy about sk stories. This is just not my favorite. still worth a credit. As for the future of the series.... hope springs eternal.

rinse and repeat
The Dark Hunter series was the start of my Book addiction, i bought Hardcovers of everyone. it wasnt until i started to branch out and experience the massive word of Fiction and the different styles that i started to see how the D.H. series were a bit repetitive. like Extremely repetitive. What kept me engaged was how all the books tied together in some way or another advancing a bigger story and adding info to characters within the world. Its been 4 years since i put down this author. After 2 hours of listening i dont think i can continue. it's the same story but with slightly altered chaos and now only about 10% advances the overall world building. i Like the Dragon plot but the whole ~
Im damaged,
me too.
whats this feeling, my heart, ive NEVER loved like this before, huh but i cant! ive been wounded and will never trust again.
me too
but this feeling, could it possibly be, can I have happiness,
everyone treats me unfairly, so mean
i cant fight it anymore, kiss kiss
ITS EVERY SINGLE BOOK! Even The League Series follows the same plot line.
im over it. 2hours into this and im like " SUCK IT UP BUD, your a damn dragon, act like it. plus its been 1k years, let it go."

Very confusing....
It's always nice to add new characters in the mix but this book was confusing and hard to follow ( I listened to it twice but moved on before completing it the second time around) maybe I needed more explanation on these... Amazons?? that also shifted to dragons??? yet despised and hated and hunted and killed dragons?? ( head tilt) yea idk... The whole barrage of new folks ... some w AWFUL voices ( I love Holter this was just something weird ) I just found this book not as enjoyable as most SK books.. ( the last few have not been great either but I could at least finish)

AMAZING AND TOUCHING
Like all the other books in this series, didn't want to put it down. Always wondered about Max, and having his past now, I can't help but love him all the more. There was, as usual, much playful bantering that had me laughing out loud. I would recommend this book , because I enjoyed it immensely, and I am already listening to it for a second time.

Dragonbane and Dragonmark are the same book
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Dragonmark and Dragonbane are the exact same story but from two different view points. 75% seems to be word for word… very disappointing to use up 2 credits for basically the same book.
Has Dragonbane turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
What about Holter Graham’s performance did you like?
Best as always
Do you think Dragonbane needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Not if it’s the same book from a 3rd view point…

My opinion, is just my opinion.
Repeat of the previous book. Not enough new story.. dissapointed. The beginning and the end were very good. I've noticed this happens sometimes, when there is a deadline, or the author is is trying something new, or they are just working on to many story series at once. I don't like reading basically the same book I just read..I feel like I wasted my credit. However, I appreciate all writers talents. I love to read, but have no talent for writing myself.

Sad. Disappointed. Do not buy wait until price is lower or borrow it from someone who has it
I have been a true and faithful fan of this series, I own all the books with the exception of Stixx' story because although I forgave it that story was truly disappointing and contradictory to so much. I let it go because she is a great writer but this is unforgettable. I feel cheated by this book and really pissed to be honest. I would have waited longer for an original story and to have to listen to this cut and paste! I wonder if they just took part of the past audio that was already recorded for the two previous books and Mr. Graham had to only ready the small parts written for this book... I was really, really, really disappointed to see such a talented writer Melania Trump this book! #unacceptable
