Bad Writing... soooo bad

The title of this book was ridiculous but the premise was 🔥, so I said why not? Plot: Catina/Cat (h) is a librarian, plus sized, and really down on herself/body because of a past bad relationship. The hero, Dhaval/Dog is a ripped, smoking hot, manwhore of a stripper, who's super high on his own supply, but also broken inside. He's the kind of guy that's so hot, he gets groupies at the grocery store. The book starts with him getting a bj from a random. Anyhoo, Dog sees Cat from stage, while he’s working it and immediately wants her enough to chase.

Annnnnnnnd after this ☝️ setup every single sentence is bogged down with a PAINFUL internal monologue, where the author repeats the entire premise over and over and over UNTIL YOU WANT TO DIE. I couldn't stand it. The ratio was: 1 line of dialogue to 4 paragraphs of: ffs stop! we already know this! 😩 I just wanted some setting, maybe a little action. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?! 😫
