Loved Landon, her, not so much

I really looked forward to the release of this book, but I was let down while reading it. I thought the character of Landon was wonderful, he was caring and just wanted the best for Aubree. Her, I did not like her at all. I was so angry with her so many times. She belittled him, humiliated him and often made him feel like crap. Really if it were a real-life situation there would have been no HEA.

It was almost a DNF for me. Aubree was driving me crazy. I just hated seeing what she was doing to him. He was an absolute doll. He should have been the immature one being only 23, but really the immature one was her.

Narration, perfect. Who doesn't love listening to Jacob Morgan, I love the way he brings the male characters to life. Emma Wilder does have a more mature voice, which made her the perfect choice for Aubree. I won't hold it against her for how Bree was. I think the narrators are what got me through this.

Worth the credit, I don't know. I wanted to listen to it, but know I will never listen to it again. It is so disappointing when the rest of the series has been fantastic so far.

I mean who doesn’t love a hot virgin hockey player and a quickie Vegas wedding. As in Jacob Morgan’s voice that is literally all you need in life. I’m really happy that the whole younger guy thing didn’t get over played. I was worried we might have a Jessica from Love is Blind situation. It was handled so well in this I loved Aubrey she was such a strong independent fierce woman who eventually handled her virgin like a pro. The chemistry was on fire. I loved the friend group. It made the story so much more fun. I won this audio and am so happy I got to enjoy it.

Yeah, no, a let down… 😬

So, the book started well BUT Aubrey, like most heroines is a selfish, immature and a thoughtless person. I was excited to finally hear about a heroine that’s not barely legal but she’s acted so immature that a 23 year old “inexperienced’ man comes off more mature? Almost embarrassed for her… glad it wasn’t real life because it may have ended badly and to be honest I just felt really bad for London, the whole book! she’s using his mouth and the take take take she was doing… expecting honesty but justifying her not sharing important info felt a little shitty to me. Especially for a 30 year old… a 30 year old this immature? I think this is where she should have been 21 or even 19 with her actions 🙄🙄🙄 so fake too…. Like listening and I can’t stand the heroine 😩

I seriously consider stopping listening because I want to hear about women who know what they want, can’t complain about not finding a right person then acting weird when the right thing comes along 🙄🙄 she was infuriating to listen t9 and felt sad for London…
It’s a shame I decided to download THIS book for the cabin trip now I’m stuck… I hope it changes or London gets to fall for someone else who actually wants him but that will not be the plot twist I suspect…

Ok, because cabin, I ended up listening to the end… I want to know more about Ana… my feelings about Aubrey did not change BUT to be fair, if this is your first or you’re just dropping your toe into romantic books, it may be good… for those who have veered into dark romance this will feel so vanilla and also annoying because Audrey is much too old to be acting the way she was portrayed in this book.

Narration: Emma Wilde was alright and I suspect this because the character was so cringe BUT Jacob Morgan is always, always superb.

Worth a credit? 50/50 (I like Kendall Ryan, otherwise I would say 70/30) depending on what I’ve written above, you decide…

Love all of this series. Great stories definitely one of my favorite. BUT why does it's say it's Jacob Morgan when it's Zachary Webber? dk love them both though.

I liked the storyline for Landon and Aubrey (woke up married after a night of heavy drinking) but I didn’t like her very much. She treated her new husband poorly. I think Landon should have annulled their marriage and moved on, especially after she called him an idiot for buying her a new vehicle. Still enjoying the appearance of supporting characters from previous books.

good story, but the lead female...ugh!

I like the story and the premise was interesting. However, the lead female is so f*ing gets on my last nerves!! She is just mean to Landon! I really wish there was more of the male lead POV.

Glad I purchased

I was unsure about this book based on other people's reviews. People didn't like the heroine and I will admit that early on I wasn't fond of her, but she grew on me and ultimately she just was trying to figure it all out. I really enjoyed the book!

Lovely story and great narration

I loved this audiobook. Landon is wonderful. I liked Aubree as well. I don't understand why some reviews on kindle say she's not likeable. She made a mistake, but fixed it, and no one is perfect. The only thing I dislike, and it's very personal, is that she changed her name after saying she wouldn't do that, so she did it for Landon, not because it was something she wanted to. Narration is great, I really like both narrators and have liked them from previous audiobooks I've listened to.

I had a hard time getting into the story as to me it's so far from any reality 🙃 however I just refocused on the fiction and it was all good again. The narrators are great.

A quickie Vegas wedding turned true love story

It was a pleasantly different love story. A younger man falls for a woman seven years his senior and has to win her over.
The story has comedy, drama, romance and friendship. A great story, and great narration.

Good story, fantastic narration

This was a cute story. Landon is such an awesome character, he’s sweet but still has that alpha element that you come to expect from a Kendall Ryan hero. Aubrey, I didn’t find that likeable, she just seemed selfish and immature - which is weird considering she was the older party in the relationship. That being said, she did redeem herself in the end. I loved their banter and The banter between the hockey players. I enjoyed how the story played out. It was an easy listen with little drama.

Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder were fantastic. It was excellent casting. Their voices complemented each other well. Jacob is always so good at the combination of alpha and emotion and that shines through in this book too. Emma, on the other hand, made a character I wasn’t enamoured with, a joy to listen to. Her male voice is pure perfection, and she gives the characters life. She stole the show for me.

Everyone knows how much I love reading hockey romances, so it should come as no surprise how much I love this series. Kendall Ryan writes such fantastic hockey heroes that each time I read a new book I fall head over hockey stick for the new player.
Landon is the man. He’s young, gorgeous, sexy, determined and ballsy. How else can you describe the man who gets hitched in Vegas to an older woman and will not let go without a fight?
Aubree is headstrong, independent, cute and sexy. She’s totally unprepared for and in no way equipped to handle the determined hockey hunk that is her husband.
But the chemistry is off the charts, fire engine red, burn you to the ground, chemistry. Watching them fall hard and fast for one another is one helluva a ride.
I absolutely loved this book and suggest that you TBR it right away AND if you haven’t read the other books in Kendall’s Hot Jocks Series, you should definitely add those to your reading list along with the rest of kendall Ryan's books x

But I had pre-ordered Down and Dirty on Audio prior so I just did what some people do when they don't have the time to just read & did both 😊

Here we're back with the Seattle Ice Hawks, Ice Hockey Team & its Rookie 'Landon Covington' turn to find his 'woman' Aubree Derrick who is the director of the team's charity organisation & they met at one of the events earlier in the Yr.

🥰The team & their other half's have gone to Las Vegas to celebrate Owen & Becca's bachelor/bachelorette party.
We see them connect well during their first night where they let their hairs down & Aubree more so than the others, that she does something she wouldn't think twice or even ten times to do.
Things move onward for these 2 where they didn't think they would even though Landon would love to...
Fantastic of joining together where it goes from piratical strangers to lovers & falling madly in love with in a matter of weeks 💕💞♥️🥰
