From viral comedy sensation James Veitch (as seen on TED, Conan, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon) comes a collection of laugh-out-loud funny exchanges with email scammers.
The Nigerian prince eager to fork over his inheritance, the family friend stranded unexpectedly in Norway, the lonely Russian beauty looking for love . . . they spam our inboxes with their hapless pleas for help, money, and your social security number. In Dot Con, Veitch finally answers the question: what would happen if you replied?
Suspicious emails pop up in our inboxes and our first instinct is to delete unopened. But what if you responded to the deposed princess begging for money in your Gmail? Veitch dives into the underbelly of our absurd email scam culture, playing the scammers at their own game, and these are the surprising, bizarre, and hilarious results.

I truly enjoyed this book. It made a long drive without access to real entertainment much more tolerable. The narrators were sensitive and passionate. I especially enjoyed the plot twist with the milk maid and Solomon. It was grand. And also, sensitive and passionate. Did I mention that?

A funny audiobook that leaves you wanting more. James and Naomi do a great job narrating and doing their best to make each tale different in tone.

Hilarious

James Veitch improvised as he read and gave us snippets of behind-the-scene content. It made this book so much more entertaining

It's a stand-up comedy

I actually really enjoy James Veitch as a comedian however normally when he's telling these stories it's a condensed version that's a lot more funny. The full versions as interesting as they may be, is not as are not as entertaining. I truly believe this book could have been better in favor of a condensed story line and more stories. Hopefully there's another book and he gets a chance to redeem himself

Entertaining, but not great

I've seen almost all of it on YouTube already.
Not enough new material. I love that it was narrated by James V. himself.
