I learned a lot of from this book, some of the same negative attitudes are in different countries.

Color shouldn't hinder your life

Loved the journey from self hate to loving what she saw in the mirror. I know I will need to read this book several times to truly discover the gems found in Marita's story! Black is Beautiful!!

I enjoyed this book.

I just finished listening to it and now I will listen again from the beginning.

Uncomfortable Truths

Love it…she focused on how colorism affect how we view ourselves and the society we live in.

Great and Powerful Story.

One of the most impactful books I have ever read. However, the narration was a little hard to read through as you could hear the gulping of the narrator throughout the narration. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this great book.
