Enjoyed most of the stories. First book by this duo I have listened and I liked how personal it is.

What did you love best about Does This Beach Make Me Look Fat??

The vignettes that Lisa and Francesca narrated were so true and funny. I was laughing every morning and evening in my car on the way to work and on the way home.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed the upbeat narration and the back and forth between Lisa and Francesca.

What does Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They both brought such life to the narration. You could really tell how strong their feelings were about what they were relating to the listener.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I really wanted to savor the stories and wanted them to go on forever!

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book to my friends. I just purchased the paperback for a friend who is having surgery. I know this will make her laugh while she is recovering!

pleasant little book

This was a nice little diversion book, not your great read but then that isnt what it set out to be either.

Wonderful

Uplifting, humorous, relatable (as always). Great pick me up if you've had a hard day, week, month.

Easy read

One of those books you can read on a plane and if you fall asleep don't worry about going back just start where you finished. Easy to listen even funny sometimes but I won't buy it at full price or hardcover, not worse more than $5 and that what I paid for it. Too much crying about ex boyfriends, husbands and weight problems, made me yawn towards the middle. But again it might be just your piece of pie :)

I totally loved this book and the stories from both Francesca and Lisa. I can't wait for the new book!

A Sunny Look at Life

They're not the most profound columns I have ever read, but Does This Beach Make Me Look Fat? often hits home with it unpretentious commentaries on life and relationships. My favorite column happened to be the one about going ballistic when discovering a dog locked in a car. Been there; done that. This book is a refreshingly light read, funny enough to make you at least crack a smile. Columns are short, snappy and to the point. When you reach a column that relates to you, it's uncanny how spot on the author is.

Funny when we needed it.

My daughters boyfriend broke his neck in a car accident. He was in the hospital for almost a year. We listened to 3 of Lisa and Francesca's audiobooks in the car to and from the hospital an hour away. Sometimes we were in a happy mood, sometimes not so much but they always lighten the mood. Thank you. Much needed at the time.

Why have I not read her books before

Would you consider the audio edition of Does This Beach Make Me Look Fat? to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, but Lisa is amazing she needs to narrate her books more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

They are both my favorite, I feel like I could relate to both.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the part where Lisa mentioned that when something happens to you in life you have to look for the lesson.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When mother Mary passed away, also when Francesca filed her grandmothers nails. I cried it made be think of my grandmother.

Any additional comments?

The book is great, I can't wait to download the rest of her books.

Laughed, smiled, & giggled all the way through it. Very entertaining. Loved it & will listen to their other books in series.
