I’m the absolute last remaining single woman in the entire town of Bordeaux.

Okay, maybe not the very last. Just the last one with all her teeth, natural hair color, and the ability to remember where I set my keys.

I decided years ago that I’m going to remain single until my dying day. I’ll infuse a new, hip meaning into the term “old cat lady.” I don’t need a man. I’ve got my bulldog, my cats, and some of the best friends in the world. My cup’s not half-full—It’s overflowing.

My man-free life is going along fine until the day I walk into my new job as a part-time tutor to the daughter of the new doctor in town. The sight of this man is making my skin tingle and my breath hitch, and something very much like butterflies are erupting in my stomach. Butterflies! I don’t do butterflies over a man.

My reaction doesn’t mean I need to change my stance on men. After all, Grant’s a broody, stern, cantankerous man. If I were going to start dating, it certainly wouldn’t be someone who obviously hasn’t smiled since he was forced to for school pictures.

But then his daughter walks in the room, and his face lights up. That smile. Who knew swooning was a real thing? Still, I’m not dating. And that’s final.

What I enjoyed:
Jayme is a strong, intelligent woman who knows her worth. She believes in her dreams and is the most supportive & loyal friend. Grant was harder to like due to his general disdain for people in the beginning. As these two fall in love, he becomes much more swoonworthy. The critter game is strong in this one- bringing all sorts of comedy. Scott's writing will tug at your emotions. One moment I was laughing, the next I was gutted and then I had a perma-grin on my face.
The not so good:

I laughed, I cried a bit. The ending was really sweet. I loved it, just like everything in this series!!

I absolutely loved the story and the narration! Querky Jamie seems to be a source of irritation to a straight face serious Doctor who's relocating to bordox Ohio. Not only does he unexpectedly run into Jamie at the airport while she's having a problem with the boarding agent, he can't believe that she is in the seat assigned next to him on the plane. Loved this clean romantic comedy and the way the narrators and the author develop the characters and how they wound up interacting throughout the book. This is like my 4th " shipped" book and it's the best of all of them so far! definitely downloading another book by this author!! you can picture everything happening as if you're right in the story with them and so many of the incidences are hilarious!! I promise if you get this book you will not be disappointed!! ❤️

What a great story! I’m not a writer, but in every other way, I relate to Jaime. And Dr Grant is swoony. But my favorite character is Fiona. What a delight! She learns to face her challenges head-on! I love her spunk! ❤️ story, ❤️ narrators! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

SUCH A CUTE STORY

I LOVED this book. I loved the comedy, the romance, the characters, EVERYTHING. Easy to read and finish in a few days. Also the voices brought these characters to life. Such a good job!

Loved the grumpy meets sunshine trope. Clean, funny, romantic, with a swoony happily ever after. Everything I enjoy was in the story with none of the things I don't like. Well done Savanah Scott. Narrators we're excellent.
