Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Twelve Angels Weeping written by Dave Rudden, and read by the author, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Nicholas Briggs.
Twelve extraordinary Doctor Who stories, each featuring a monstrous villain from the Doctor Who world.
On every planet that has existed or will exist, there is a winter....
Many of the peoples of Old Earth celebrated a winter festival. A time to huddle together against the cold; a time to celebrate being halfway out of the dark.
But shadows are everywhere, and there are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things, lurking in the cold between the stars.
Here are 12 stories - one for each of the 12 Days of Christmas - to remind you that to come out of the darkness we need to go into it in the first place.
We are not alone. We are not safe. And, whatever you do: don't blink.

new adventures for the Doctors

Being that the author is a fan himself, he does a good job capturing the universe, its villains, and of course its hero...the Doctor himself/herself. Yes I added in both, because the story does cover various incarnations in its chapters.
I loved the voice of the narrators! It was cool to hear the writer himself—-Dave Rudden—narrate some of the chapters (I love when writers narrate their books) as well the renown Nicholas Briggs (who I thought captured one of the Doctors voices very well as well as his persona). While it is about some of the villains of Dr Who, sometimes Rudden humanizes them and if you’re like me, I like sometimes when villains are shown in a different light and discover why they act or may be perceived as villainous. So grab a Jelly Belly or Jammie Dodger or a Banana as you’re in for a real treat as you enjoy the telling of “Twelve Angles Weeping”.
Great For Whovians!
