Captivating

This was the best so far of Ms Clark's stories. The storyline allowed me to leave it and pick up later. Wow what a twist at the end. I'm ready for the next book.

Dated - TW

With all my respect for the writer:
This novel is very dated. And lacks political correctness in regards to disability. Also, TRIGGER WARNING: suicide.

Mind-numbingly Dull

Trying to get through this book was like trudging through swamp water in heavy boots. The only reason I didn’t abandon it was because I just had to see how such an excruciatingly slow developing story could possibly end, and the end was ridiculous. The story was truly underdeveloped. You will get more excitement from a Nancy Drew Mystery.
Zero thrills. Zero chills. Zero suspense.

Kept me guessing

The performance made it enjoyable to listen to and able to keep characters apart.
The story kept me guessing and I didn’t see the ending coming until at the end.

I will be listening again and again as I like to re-hear details once I know the ending.

Boring and lacking suspense

Long and not very thrilling. Easy to solve early on with no room for suspense

Stopped at Chapter 8

I’m sure this is a good book, but I would barely know because it is so slow to get into. I tried to give it a good go but 8 chapters in and I can’t do it anymore, it’s so dull. There’s no hook to keep you in and I just was not enjoying it. I’m sure some will enjoy it but it just isn’t my style.

Great story!

Mary Jane Clark had me guessing until the end! Beth Fowler did an excellent job of giving each character it’s own voice.

Nope

The story was horrible and hard to follow. I tried but could barely finish it.

Just Cant

OK, I really like Mary Higgins Clark's books. This one, not so much. I am at chapter 7 and just can't any longer. I force myself to listen up to Chapter 7 on books I don't immediately care for. Usually I can find interest by that point... but this book I just cannot. Its actually the book that cannot keep me interested.
Beth Fowler is great!

So so

Thought interesting, not up to the usual standards of the KEYNews series. Worth reading, though.
