One can also decide not to give someone that permission to hurt him or her by saying yes only to the right person. Just like in a business, before starting a partnership, one is expected to choose a potential business partner based on strict business rules of engagements.

Story
In the perennial favorite Boundaries, Anne Katherine introduced the concept and importance of personal limits. In Where to Draw the Line, she takes the next step with a practical guide to establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries in a wide range of situations. With every encounter, we either demonstrate that we'll protect what we value, or that we'll give ourselves away. Healthy boundaries preserve our integrity. Unlike defenses, which isolate us from our true selves and from those we love, boundaries filter out harm.

Publisher's Summary
I am not a lawyer; I am survivor of a divorce that to a great extent was resolved amicably because my lawyer/partner and I adhered to the principles and rules I put forth in this book.
I derived the principles and rules from my experience, conversations with my lawyer/partner, observations of several friends as they meandered and muddled through their divorce proceedings, and from written cases that were similar to mine, all of which I found to be instructive, some of which I found to be bizarre as well.
All of that doesn't detract one bit from the validity of the principles and rules I so fearlessly put forth, and I hope that you and your spouse heed them - with the consent of your lawyers, of course.

Helpful On One Aspect/Topic Of Divorce-EGO!
First, I must give credit to the BRILLIANT Marketing By The Publisher or Author
There are AT LEAST Seven, 15-30 Min. 'Chapters' in this Divorce 'Book' but they must be purchased separately. At $4 per section, the book is $28! The Author/Publisher can add sections forever! Great strategy.
In order to get the full effect of this 17 minute book, I think that one must listen to all of the chapters – seven of which are available on audible.
I did find bits of myself in what the author expressed. I think most have an egomaniac in themselves
Bobbin Beam did a professional job with narration.
*This book was given to me in exchange for my review. Again, I would recommend listening to each chapter (very clever marketing, releasing them one at a time) in order and in completion. I will probably not pursue this line any further, simply because I have no use for it.
Thank you for reading my review. If you found it helpful, would you please select yes directly below this line? Thank you.
