A Nightmare
I thought it was a little dragged out but was a disturbing listen more of a suspenseful thriller with a hint of supernatural. It does have some horror with rape, incest and psychological torture. It also has surprise ending but felt narrator did not have the voice for this deep thriller book. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Narration
I do not know what she was trying to do but the narrators constant gasping for breath and deep breathing. Became more and more distracting. By the time I got to the end I was sick of it. Having listened to 1000s of books I have never heard a reader sound like this.

Supernatural mystery
Wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not , but it turned out very good. Definitely will keep you guessing. Every time you think you know and that you have it all figured out , something happens to prove you wrong. The narrator did great job as well in telling the story and doing different voices. If you like ghost stories and murder mysteries I think you will really love it. I was given this audio in exchange for honest and fair review for free. But definitely worth a credit.

The narrator was AWESOME!
This has been a favorite of mine for years. The narrator’s portrayal of the characters using unique and distinguishable voices acting out the narration and dialog - AWESOME! Psychology and ghosts? Always a great combination. What I like best about the story is its seamless pace.

Unique and disturbing haunting
This story is about past horrors being repeated in a haunted house. There are various atrocities among families occurring including hauntings, torture, rape, adultery, brutality, orgys and murder, among other things. The book was extremely hectic yet intriguing. It will definitely make you gasp and cringe. The plot was built up cleverly with interesting twists and climaxes.
Jenny narrated a variety of characters in an absolutely brilliant way. She was perfect for the story and performed the horror better than any group of narrators. I genuinely thought that there were different performers for the different characters. She had excellent intonation and character voices, and added to the scary and disturbing themes in the story. She is one of the best narrators i have heard.
I recommend this unique story to anyone who is curious about such a disturbing horror and would like a wild ride. Not recommended for sensitive listeners.

Disturbing
The beginning is disturbing, the middle is disturbing, and the ending is disturbing! But I love this book!!! The twists in the book I never saw coming. I do have to say there may be some trigger points for some people. And the narrator's voice is a bit breathy. You can tell she is trying to "act" the part but so close to the mic I was a bit irritated. Other than that this book is crazy! And good!!

fell I love with the narrator
it took me a hot minute to get used to narrator but soon fell in love with the different voices she uses as long as you can get past the deep breaths she takes often...this is most definitely an adult book with taboo acts. overall I am happy it is in my library for whenever I wish to listen to again
