Love found in wartime

Short easy and HOT listen. An invading army led by a Prince conquers another country. While there, he falls in love with the “enemy”. She has nothing, scrounging for food for herself and a few other survivors of the war.

I do wish the characters were fleshed out more, but enjoyed it for a short listen as Sky Corgan always delivers a hot story.

Entertaining

Fabulous story, the narration was good and had a good pitch, I didn't find it boring and liked the emotion in it

Terrible moderator

This story sounds really good but Kira Omans is so bad at narrating I cant listen to the book after about 40 minutes. She just drones on and on in pretty much monotone. When it comes to a review on the story I’ll have to get the ebook.

Sky doesn't disappoint!

This was a great short story. Dystopian setting with a conquering prince falling in love with a woman from the land that was conquered. I enjoyed the storyline. However, the narration was not the best. At one point, I found myself wishing I had the actual book to finish the story not the audiobook.

Good story with some hot sex

I wasn't sure of this book at first, but as I got listening to it, I got use to the narration.

Flynn is a Prince who has invaded a country, and spies Anya as she's searching for food for her camp. A resistant camp. Once he realize that she's not spying on them, he starts to watch her, and falls in love.

Their love story is quick, but we need to remember that Flynn has been watching her for a long time, so it was as quick for him.

I enjoyed this book as it's not part of a series and it's standalone

god, I hate talking up!!!

while the story is good, dispite the crude language, I really dislike anyone speaking up!!! The language is crude, but the innotation is always up! It's frustrating! If the innotation is always up, there really isn't any feeling, is there? and how many times can you say General Daniel Hanson?

I fell in love with Fynn and Anya

This is an alternate present day that is at war. Anya is a survivor that is savaging to get by with a rag tag group in the same boat. They move from place to place in an effort to avoid the troops of the winning side of this war. She comes across Fynn and his general sadly having to execute rebels who are still trying to win a war they have already lost. He spots Anya viewing this and is intrigued. He seeks her out to put a rest to his mind and only falls even more for Anya's courage and kindness. She doesn't know Fynn is the prince and they begin a friendship that only grows. Despite his status, Fynn still needs to find a way to keep Anya safe and so devises the plan for marriage and a baby.

It may seem a bit insta lust/love but its war people! This is about so much more! They do actually get to know each other and find mutual comfort and peace. Its quite touching and this story is now on my favorites list. There is action, love, and hot sex scenes! It's a great listen!

Kira Omans has a rocky start, but she blooms as the story continues. I see her only getting better and hope to hear other titles voiced by her.

Fynn and Anya!

Anya has no family so she lives with a group of people who live in a warehouse and scavenge for food in an attempt to stay alive in a war torn area. Fynn is next in line to the throne and as head of the military has to make difficult decisions which include the execution of several rebel forces.

When he sees that Anya witnessed an execution he follows her and the attraction is immediate. He arranges for her group to have food on a regular basis but when danger surrounds her he rescues her but how does he balance his feelings for her against his responsibility to his country?

I enjoyed the narration of both the men and women's voices however I would have preferred a little more emotion in the tone. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the narrator.

More Like INVADING PRINCE (great cover though)

I was given this book at my request by the author for my unbiased review.

Dystopian setting as a conquering army scours the plundered land to kill the few bands of remaining rebels. Flynn, their Prince, rides as their leader and is joyless over the loss of lives, especially as many are nothing more than unarmed displaced survivors, now his subjects. At yet another execution he spots Anya, young woman in a nearby upper story peering around a curtained window, witnessing the deaths of her countrymen. Unable to discern her motive as innocent or espionage, he tracks her down and observes. It's soon apparent that she's just trying to survive among others in a hidden community. His observations soon become relentless and he obsesses over her safety to the point of secretly sharing food rations and eventually warning them of his army's impending search arrival.

It's a smexy hot love story so I don't want to give any more spoilers.

Kira Omans has a very unique voice. Some may call her monotone in some portrayals but I feel she uses more natural inflections even with the flatter tone. She does male voices well, too.
