Publisher's summary

Holy heat! Dirty Little Midlife Mistake is packed full of the best kind of bad decisions.

Candice Viceroy - widow, mother, business owner - isn’t supposed to kiss anyone. Especially not Hollywood heartthrob and hunky silver fox, Blake Harding. Not in front of half a dozen cameras and a whole movie set’s worth of lights. And not when, for the first time in nearly a decade, she gets certain special tingles in a certain special place. So, Candice does what any normal, rational person would do: she runs away. Literally. One thing she doesn’t expect? For Blake Harding - actor, Adonis, ladykiller - to lay chase. That’s when Candice finds out she has a very, very big problem on her hand...because when Blake catches her, he isn’t planning on letting her go.

Over 40 love

I don’t usually leave reviews as I’m just not good at it, but I loved this series so much ! All the characters were really good and funny ones too. Narrated perfectly and Lilian Monroe never disappoints. I can’t wait for at least 2 more books from Hearts Cove Hotties , nothing released for them yet but am hoping they will come soon . Please ! It’s worth the credit or as I did, I bought all three at $7.50 each with kindle unlimited, again worth it.

The narrators voices are almost the same and it gets very confusing.

Very weak story especially for the usually talented Ms. Monroe. Widow’s angst dragged out too long.

Pass

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one falls flat. Don’t use a credit on this one.

loved this series

It's hard to find romance that isn't about 30's and younger. It's a great book I could feel the love, pain, heart ache all of it in word read.

Meh

I have three problems with this book:

First, the author uses the community (Hearts Cove) as cockblockers, chaperones and voyeurs. This ‘it takes a village’ crap is an annoying trope. Romantic love is first and foremost a sacred union of two. This was Hallmark channel exhibitionism.

My second issue, the main character and her widow nonsense. Okay. Grievers please grieve. Grieve for as long as you like. But for godssake don’t straddle life and death and torture an innocent third party. Candice made her dysfunction a condition of loving her, and in doing so killed any charisma and movie star quality Blake had. In other words she was wounded and brought him down to her level, he might as well of been a mailman or a plumber.

And finally, authors, a sexless marriage is a war crime. Please don’t write women as forbearing losers who deny their physical needs for abusive men. You heard me, being denied intimacy in a marriage IS ABUSE.
