Cal Newport's Digital Minimalism is the best book I've read in some time about our fraught relationship with technology. You're not the user, you're the product. Hang up, log off, and tune in to a different way to be in the world. Bravo, Cal, smart advice for good people (Seth Godin)
I hope that everyone who owns a mobile phone and has been wondering where their time goes gets a chance to absorb the ideas in this book. I challenge you not to devour this wonderful book in one sitting. I certainly did and I started applying Cal's ideas to my own life immediately (Greg McKeown)

This book is definitely an eye opener to think about our digital activities. Cal provided practical advices on how to embrace the digital minimalism.

This book asked me the question of the real use of social media.

This book began well by really breaking down the problem and giving useful strategies for overcoming it, however began to drag on and ironically lost focus in the second half, blaming tech for things such as the rise of teen anxiety with little to no evidence. Ultimately, while I think there is a lot of wisdom in this book, it's quite possibility an overcorrection that blames tech for too much. I personally think technology is revealing humanities shortcomings rather than creating them.

Some valuable strategies drags on.
