Kicking and screaming

This book swept me up in the most intoxicating way. The author has such a deft touch when it comes to crafting an MMC you can loathe, crave, and completely lose yourself in—all at once. By the final pages, I was utterly undone: giddy, giggling, and quite literally kicking my feet like a lovestruck child. Absolutely irresistible.

That cliffhanger!!!

I absolutely cannot wait for the next book; the little nugget at the end was soooo good!

The book was well written and I liked the added MMC pov chapters. The FMC frustrated me so much at times but overall excellent writing on the authors part. The balance between world development and story plot line is impressive. The cliffhanger at the end left me craving the next book!

The cliffhanger and general great storyline

I love that the FMC is so Human and susceptible to manipulation while simultaneously rejecting it at every turn. Forming her own plots and battling with her own heart and uncertainty of reality and the future. And the MMC is so easy to hate but, like most men who are very good at lying, can make you fall for new or old lies by finding new ways to deceive. Hes so charismatic yet so awful at the same time.

AMAZING!

This has to be one of the best series I've listened to in a long time! Don't sleep on this one. Book 2 is even better than book 1!
