Short Romance

Allison and Paxton

Book 2 of the Darling Love series. Paxton is recovering from an injury, and convinces Allison he needs her on the trip. He is determined to win her heart. Plenty of hot scenes. The two have chemistry and are drawn to each other. Characters well developed. The narration was well done. Paxton & Alison

The second book in the Daring Love series. I enjoyed listening to Paxton Kerry an injured NFL player and Alison Duvall, his agent's assistant's story. they will go through ups and downs as they work toward their happy ending. The story is well worth listening to. Shrader Thomas has a very good storytelling voice, I enjoyed listening to him telling the story.

Great story

Love that has trials. I loved how the passion that the characters had for each other is what fueled them in their choices. This is a great story and I enjoyed the journey with these characters.

The story and characters are well written and developed. I enjoyed the drama, chemistry and journey. Good read.

assumptions and desires

The story continues...Allison Duvall was the assistant of Tori and she was managing Paxton Kerry, the quarterback. She was able help Paxton redirect his focus on his career/life. Paxton concocted a plan to get him closer to her. At firt it didn't go as planned but there was a HEA.
It was funny to see how people at a certain age, supposedly mature and profession think like a certain age/teenager, jump into conclusion, and lose perspective. That is what is nice about this story. It shows our human-side . There was a few moments of jealousy on this story and more desires. This story however is tame compared to what is shown in the picture or author's other stories. Was entertained by this contemporary story.

Where’s the Rest of the Story?

This is the second book of the Daring Love series, and like the first book, it felt as though the book started somewhere in the middle instead of at the beginning of the couple’s story. Apparently, a lot of stories happened before what happens in this story, and what happened wasn't adequately revealed throughout the actual book to help all that transpired make sense. While I can’t say if this is the cause, I know the push these days is to pump out a novella a month, but story and characterization suffer when the speed of getting books out trumps, for lack of a better word, literary concerns. Because I felt like I only got a part of the story, I never connected with the characters, and therefore, could never really care about what happened to them.
