Publisher's Summary

I made a deal with the devil. Now, he’s claimed me as his mate.

When my best friend goes missing in Las Vegas, there’s only one man I can turn to for help.

Lucas Ifer. Billionaire playboy. CEO of Abaddon Inc. King of Sin City. And...the devil himself?

Lucas - a.k.a. Lucifer - agrees to help me, but in exchange, he wants one thing: me.

He’s dark, dangerous, and wickedly handsome. Oh, and evil incarnate. I should say no, but I can’t. I’m that desperate.

But when you make a deal with the devil, there's no escaping it. Now, he owns my body for seven nights of sin. Even worse, he owns my soul for all eternity.

I’m Persephone being claimed by Hades, and I have no choice but to enter his underworld and become his dark queen.

Is there any light left in that black heart? Or, will his darkness consume me?

Reincarnated Love

Hannah went to Las Vegas in search of her missing best friend. She found so much more. A world of angels, fallen, demons, shifters, and fae. A life forgotten, an eternal love, a curse, and danger.

With a mix of Christianity, mythology, and a touch of the television show Lucifer, Elizabeth Briggs has created an entertaining story about star-crossed Lovers. I love the concept of reincarnated love. I would have preferred more backstory, more details of Hannah's past lives. I think it would have solidified the connection between Hannah and Lucifer. I loved Lucifer's week of seven sin dates. I'm not sure what it says about me that I am a bit jealous. I was not a fan of the side stories of The demon insurgence or the rescue and love story of Hannah's best friend. Instead, I would have preferred to spend more time with Lucifer's inner circle and a deep dive into Lucifer's world. It did end with a cliffhanger but that shouldn't have surprised anyone; it does say #1. I'm hoping book 2 goes even deeper into their history as Lucifer and Hannah face the future.

Lia Langola and Will M. Watt were largely successful in bringing Hannah and Lucifer's story to life. Lia was really good as Hannah but I didn't like her as Brandy. I also don't like how she scream-announces each chapter. Luckily, the negatives were minor and easily set aside for how good she was as Hannah. Will nailed Lucifer's sexiness and volatility.

Don't waste your money Maybe better in print

it has a start of maybe being a good storyline, but drops the ball big time, the female narrator is just ugh.... I really tried to finish, maybe if there was a different female narrator it may really bring this book alive but I doubt it

A straight-up WINNER in my book, AMAZING.

This book was even better than I'd hoped, and I can't wait to start book two. Spoiler alert coming up here: this story is a tale of reincarnation between two soulmates (one of which happens to be the devil, and the other.... well, you'll have to find out). If you pay close attention and know your mythology, you'll likely catch the references throughout the book before we get to the reveal. I appreciated everything about it; the narration was EXCELLENT, with Lia Langola and Will Watt giving passionate performances [as I've come to expect from them both]. Will's voice always gives me shivers, and both narrators bring a depth to the story that has been lacking when I try to just read the title alone. The writing was very well done and flowed amazingly without too much inner monologue or too much exposition to set the stage (something I'm seeing far too often lately in romance novels), and there were a few times where the longing between these two and the depth of devotion Lucifer had for Hannah made me almost cry. Thankfully, I held back, but I kept having that sensation where your sinuses burn and the spot behind your eyebrows feels too heavy! The story is just.... deep, on a level that hits the most intimate parts of the heart. And honestly, what else could one expect from a being over two millennia old? It's the one love story that never quit, and I'm loving every second of connecting the dots the author is leaving for us like crumbs. I think Elizabeth Briggs might be a new favorite author, because her writing really had me on the edge of my seat! Now, without delay, ON TO BOOK 2! Unfortunately, there isn't yet an Audible version of it, but I don't think I can wait so I'm going to read books 2 and 3 on my Kindle and hear Will Watt's voice in my head. I applaud you if you have the patience to wait, but I certainly do NOT.

on the fence

Knock off of the tv show IMO. Kinda bummed that it was so much like it, should have looked more into other reviews. Hands down prefer the show which is my case is crazy as I typically HATE movies/tv. The characters fell flat and the story line did not hold my attention.

Good book

Wonderful book that weaves together Greek mythology- in this case the Hades/Persephone story- and a modern take on Lucifer, then puts a different spin on it that makes it truly unique. The characters are complex and well done and the storyline keeps you interested.

I love this story!!

Although it’s a paranormal setting, I was a bit surprised at the characters. But only at the beginning. The story line is great, and the sex scenes are hot, hot, hot! I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

Weak rip-off of tv show

I can’t get through this book. It’s a weak and plot, weak and unbelievable characters, incongruous details, the female character is just so naive and stupid sounding that it’s insulting, and worst yet is that there are many details that are blatant, uncreative rip-offs of the TV series “Lucifer”.

I usually like the narrator, Lia Langola, but even her talents can’t save this book. It’s just bad dialogue and bad writing.

The m about half way through and I just can’t listen to any more of this. Waste of my time to have listened to as much as I did.

newest reincarnation

Hannah looks for her missing friend and soon learns she is the newest reincarnation of Lucifer's mate. This story is set in the same world as Seraphim Academy.

the devil's tale with surprising twists

Elizabeth made it known that her inspiration for this story was the TV show Lucifer. The beginning of the book showed the similarities in Lucifer's personality and background, however, there was alot more to this story. As the story develops you learn how Hannah is actually several major characters reincarnated throughout time and about the cycle of the curse she is bound to. I realized there weren't that many similarities to the show once I was about half way in (thats a good thing, and I love the show). There is a mystery element here of who Adam is now and how she will die but there are no clues leading up to the discovery, it just sort of happens. I thought the end of the book was a bit rushed compared to the rest of the story. The ending is a cliffhanger but not a painful one, just enough to make you think "WTF" and need to know what new Hannah is and how long it will take her to forgive Lucifer...and why he did it!

The narration is pretty good. I really enjoy when there is a male and female narrator for the main characters and these narrators did pretty well. And yes, Lucifer has an accent :)

Fantastic!

Holy heck this book! So many twists and turns that you do not see coming and that keep you on the edge of your seat guessing what happens next. I love how the narrators did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Their story soars through your ears and I couldn't stop listening to it. Even when I should have been working, I was listening to this book because I had to see what happened next! I cannot wait for the next installment.
