The Narrator’s distracting manor of speech
The book is read by someone who has a voice and manner of speaking more suited to a book like the Outlander series or Fifty Shades, making it very hard to listen to a book filled with medical jargon and covering serious non fictional topics. It’s as if she is deliberately trying to make beta-amyloid plaques sound sexy. Very distracting to a point where it’s hard to follow, and I will have now have to read the book myself.
