Lovely lady Cool Darlene!! (LL Cool D!!)

I love the book and it was great to understand that Darlene was raised by these two good men and quite frankly I think she came out a 110 percent good strong woman. I see a lot of her on C Hulcombs 5150 Show and I love it. To see how she can keep up with the fellas is a small bit of proof of the woman she has grown to be and I'm sure what we see in the public is a very small picture of who Miss OG Darlene Ortiz really is. They say a real good love only comes around once in life time which is a statement I don't necessarily believe. I really hope she finds real love again.Much love to her and her family, much respect and great book Darlene. You are definitely an accurate definition of being down. True love from your fan Shawn, Peace Love and Happiness to you D.

Worth a listen 5150 Nation

Good listen. Wish she had edited out the
mistakes for a smooth listen. Also would have been nice to review the pictures in the book while she talks about how the pic happened. But overall a good listen.👌👍

WOW!! PHENOMENAL

I didn't realize how important Darlene Ortiz had a huge role in the hip hop industry. She was the true and original ride and did chick, a very rare find in this day and age.

cool story but Fire the producer/editor

Nice story. I wish the producers would have edited out the reading mistakes. The producer should seriously be fired or even sued. If you were paid to edit this project, you need to be sure.
I mean, it was like are you serious Mr. producer? At one part she was supposed to read a letter and the letter was never Read! Many other parts had stumbled in the reading that should have been edited out.
It's astonishing to think no one easily deleted the mistakes. It's like they just put out the rough draft without any edits whatsoever.
How this happened is beyond me. Even I, a regular person would have used my free audacity program to edit out all mistakes before submitting to audacity as an audio book to go out to the world.

Ride or Die Chick

I really truly loved this book. It was written so well and so authentically. There is such a wonderful undercurrent of love and gratitude coursing through her story. Darlene’s intelligence, humility, compassion and warrior spirit really shine through. Plus it was gangsta’ - Much love sista!

Below average.

The story was OK but the recording quality was bad. The narrator repeated herself way too many times.
