You will enjoy every moment

This may not be the best book I have ever read but it IS the best in many years.
Being on point timely and at one point not sure if this was not really commenting on our countries current upheaval it became obvious it was.
Writing and character development was excellent and kept me (yes a bromide) on the edge of my seat!! The conclusion and subsequent “explanation” was well, astonishing.
Add to this EXCELLENT narration by a woman I have not had the privilege of listening to but hope to again in the not to distant future and you have all the components of a wonderful, can’t put down best in show thriller..
The only question for me is... when is the next book by this wonderful writer coming out? Also, seriously consider continuing to collaborate with this exceptional narrator.

Never saw it coming

Marin Ireland rocked. Mr. Hauty nicely done and hope there is a possible part 2.

This book is one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a very long time!! Twists and turns and a very surprising end!!!

...awesome debut thriller!

Audiobook Review - This is an awesome audiobook! It is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed it so much, I got the hardcover as well. With all of the thriller books out there, it seems as if it would be very difficult to make it in the thriller community with a debut novel and I've seen very few authors be able to do it with the exception of Jack Carr and maybe few others. Chris Hauty absolutely knocks this out of the park! I expect this to be one of the top books of 2020, which is saying a lot in the sometimes over crowded thriller genre. The main character, Hayley Chill is an incredibly dynamic and fresh, female character, who is so different from the other thriller main characters, and you get a taste of that from the first few chapters. The writing is fantastic with a twist that will blow you away and the narration is so spot on. Trust me, you'll know when you read it exactly what I'm talking about. Your jaw will drop. And this isn't a spoiler, because you'll never figure it out before you read it. And actually, don't trust me, because as this book will show you, Trust No One! Easily the best thriller of the year...hands downs!!

More twists and turns and hair-raising swoops than Space Mountain!!

What a terrific story!! If you enjoy strong female characters, multi-level story arcs, contemporary political fantasy (or maybe NOT so fanciful!?!) lots of fast-paced action.....then this is the book for you! Do not hesitate to use one of your credits or even pay outright for Deep State!! You will not be sorry and may even be deeply satisfied! ❄️☮️❄️

Very Good!

I rarely write reviews, but I enjoyed this book so much I needed to. I am glad that I let the book description guide my selection, and just let the subject matter, and the narrator dictate my purchase. It was a very good merging of the two. Rather than focus on the twists and turns, I just enjoyed the story. Very strong character development, which is the smartest way to get one to continue listening. If you have a connection to more than one character, you’re going to stick with the story. I was kept entertained, so that I didn’t concern myself with looking for the aforementioned twists and turns. When they did come throughout the story, they were earned, and had the designated impact. I would very much recommend purchasing this, or using a credit. I will most definitely purchase more by this author.

Cadence Narrator

Narrator read with a cadence, and when the story did not fit into her cadence she rushed to finish a sentence and slurred her words. Also, the first two chapters were put at the end. Lazy way to try to be safisticated

Good, not great thriller

This is a decent thriller, short and concise. The big twist really wasn’t that big, but fairly predictable as thrillers today go. I really wish the majority of today's thrillers wouldn't follow the same script. But the character if Haley Chill is a good potential series character. The narrator really brought her to life.

Really interesting book

loved it. Did not expect the ending. Also, seems really close to present day with Tony fictional modifications
