Publisher's Summary

Series finale!

The Deliverance is on the brink of destruction.

The planet is more dangerous than anyone realized - the crossroads of a war millennia in the making - and the colony is Ground Zero.

But the courage of a few can move mountains, and the fight isn’t lost yet.

The enemy thinks they have Caleb right where they want him.

They ought to think again.

Destruction is the fifth and final book in the Forgotten Colony series. If you love Aliens, Battlestar Galactica, Starship Troopers, Ender's Game, or Edge of Tomorrow, you'll love this epic military sci-fi thriller.

Another page turner.

I know it’s not a book. But it’s hard to not push yourself to the next chapter when you’re supposed to be going to sleep at bedtime. I really enjoyed all the characters and the pictures that are painted for me in this book. Kudos to Mr. Kafer. Another great narration.

Curious but Great Ending to Series

If you stayed with the series this finale was worth the wait! I say that because the individual books were obviously not well constructed stories in and of themselves. Instead they were simply the “book” of their titles’ part of a continuing story of the series. While a bit annoying at first, once you expected it, that feature of M. R. Forbes story structure did not detract from the joy of the series’ overall story. Specifically to this book, it had an unexpected and very interesting revelation or two that tied up the various threads well and ended this tale most satisfactorily. Highly recommended for sci-fi military and general sci-fi/fantasy fans.

A wonderful if not upsetting conclusion.

Loved the series and what a finale however there are a few questions raised(both in this series and the previous) that were not answered. Hopefully I’ll get my answers in the next books but either way I’m loving the ride!

where is book 6 ?

what a wild ride. that's the story progressed from one book to the next. you feel like you know the characters. like their friends and you don't want to see anything happen to em. M. r Forbes has a hell of a story here come the end of this book you just know there will be more it can't wrap up like this.

Anticlimactic

I wish the author would quit killing off a lot of the secondary characters and build up some of those relationships. There were so many opportunities for other stories within this series . So many interesting characters that I personally would of enjoyed seeing developed ….

This Review Covers Books 4 & 5

What can I say. Although this series had a number of inconsistencies, it really has been a roller caster of a ride. The fast pace just did not let up and although I was a little hesitant after listening to Book 1, I found myself not being able to stop listening the rest of the books.

If your looking for fast pace, all acton, then this series definitely does not disappoint.

Inconsistencies or someone is terrible at maths!

“We had nearly 18,000 volunteers that’s 30% of our population” Deputy Chlohani (not sure about the spelling)
They started with 40,000 and lost roughly 13,000 leaving 27,000 during the civil war.

The whole series is full of inconsistencies with gender pronouns too. One minute the sheriff is voiced as a man and the invading general is referred to as she/her then later as his/him in another instance.

it was a nice read although I felt the last 1/4 was a little far fetched one man crusade
