Publisher's Summary

Death Doesn’t Bargain is the second historical fantasy audiobook in New York Times best-selling author Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Deadman’s Cross series. In this chilling audiobook, Deadmen tell their tales, and every soul is damned or redeemed by the final choices they make.

The Deadmen are back...but so are the demons who have broken free of their eternal prison and are bent on mankind’s destruction. The worst of the lot is Vine, determined to claim their lives for taking hers. She will see the world burn...and has the perfect lure to destroy them all. One of their own.

Kalder Dupree has never known a day of mercy. Born to the cruelest of mer-races, he sacrificed himself for his crew and is in Vine’s hands. He expects no mercy or rescue. Yet Cameron Jack is determined to set Kalder free. As a Hellchaser, it’s her calling, and she cannot allow even a not-so-innocent to be tortured for an act of kindness that spared her damnation. To defeat evil, it sometimes takes an even worse evil, and Cameron is willing to do whatever she must to make this right. If Vine thought she had her hands full before, she hasn’t seen anything nearly as powerful as Cameron’s resolve.

Holly sh**

This series I quickly becoming a favorite. We are defiantly finding out more about Adarian and his history pre Nick. If you are not familiar with these two characters yet read the Chronicles of Nick. You must be new to the author. The writing and narration is as amazing as always. Loved it and can't wait for the next book.

Make the bad narrator stop....please

Good story, but Holter Graham ruins it. His character voices are different in this book than in the previous one. I swear he is getting worse with every book.

Another great book yet again by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I love every one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. They always have a great storyline and catch my attention. I usually love Holter Graham, however I wasn't impressed with his performance this time. I almost couldn't believe that it was the same person. The accents changed for the characters and even the tone of voice was different, making it a bit hard to listen to. I was so impressed with his performance in Deadman Walking, but this was a great disappointment. Hopefully when he does two sequels again he will actually listen to himself in the last book and keep the voice similar instead of changing it.

nonstop nail biting action!

The second installment of The Deadmen series takes off at a run and never slows down. Calder finally gets answers to life long questions and Cam is beside him all the way. I freakin love this series! Holter Graham is absolutely phenomenal. He brings each character to life in a way you can see the action as it happens.

Narrator didn’t revisit his work

I really enjoyed the first book in the series partially because of the narration. This one however wasn’t nearly as good because he wasn’t consistent. It was very hard to get into the story because I kept thinking the voices were off. Hoping the third is better!
