Very cool story line. Uatu has always been a favorite Marvel character of mine so I couldn't miss this!

have listened to better

Really glad I got this one on sale so did not pay full price for it. I have no problem paying full price for a good story. It may have been good in Comic format but not so much as an audio book. The B list heroes needed the art of a hard copy....

I Thought the Logic of the Retcon Failed

This novel, set in the Marvel Universe, depends on a gimmick and a retcon. I thought the gimmick worked great--the Watcher has been murdered. I thought the retcon involving Nick Fury failed completely as most of the things that have filled the pages of Marvel Comics for decades would not have happened if it were true.

But the use that is found for the dead Watcher’s eyes was intriguing...

I think this Marvel book was super good! Qarie Marshall was a good choice for a narrator.

Like a Movie

Wonderful comic book story. I'm new to listening to these novels on Audible and until recently I didn't even know Marvel had put these kind of full stories out into the world. I was impressed, the plot was the level of a movie with twists and turns more like a movie plot than a comic book or a traditional novel. The story moves along at an action packed pace, there really are too many characters (as with many of the team movies), and there is good and bad. I found it difficult and kind of unforgiving when I didn't know the characters involved. There was little explanation of who they were, what their powers are or what they look like. I almost took a star off because of how many times Mr. Smith said a characters voice was "squishy". An interesting read, not as light as I expected. I recommend it.

Put down the thesaurus

Dreadful writing. Just awful. Please put down the thesaurus and just tell the story.
