There are a lot of characters, back stories, etc., the reader may be confused about. It is definitely not a standalone book and readers should be advised to read the other two books first. Good story and I will continue on with the series. LaFavre… it’s not pronounced correctly in the audiobook reading. It’s a small thing, but it can be give me an eye twitch once in a while, lol.

Wonderful story and perfect representation of the way the trauma of rape affects it's victims as well as the struggle to rise above it. The time it takes to triumph over it, the inner strength, and the need to work through the mental trauma is well shown as is the PTSD. Thank you for again giving us such a powerful look into the life of a powerful survivor. Eye of the storm is the perfect discription of her.

Strong women! Christine Feehan at her best.

Great story line. Strong independent women who support each other. Characters are well developed and the tie in to Sunrise Lake is great. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

These friends in this mountain town are really amazing and quirky. Each book the drama is distinct! i can't wait for more!!!

I loved how Shabina was strengthened by all of the other characters. She then made each other character stronger with her aide of bringing forward their strengths and helping them smooth out their flaws. Christine Feehan doesn't write of perfection. She writes of of flaws becoming seen as strengths.
