Publisher's Summary

Two witches, one haunted house...and a dash of murder. Will Lucy find the killer in time? Or will she be Buttercup's next resident ghost?

It's Halloween in Buttercup, Texas, and reporter-turned-farmer Lucy Resnick is up to her ears in more than goats and wayward cows. Not only has her well dried up, but it turns out the old house Lucy recently moved to has a reputation for spooks...and they are disturbingly active. Then a tarot card reading at a local mead winery foretells death...and minutes later, exotic game ranch owner Bug Wharton goes belly-up. Cause of death? Murder, by a fatal dose of bee venom.

When the dimwitted sheriff fingers local witch and mead winery owner Serafine Alexandre, Lucy gets involved...and soon discovers that all kinds of things are brewing in Buttercup.

And some of them are deadly.

RESOLUTION

Perhaps Jed and Rooster should go. The lack of resolution is tiring. New problematic characters can be created.

What is right is wrong and what is wrong is right. I will not order books from this author again.

Love this series

Love this series but this book had a little too much witchcraft for me. I really appreciate that there's no swearing or gratuitous sex. Great plot twists that keep you guessing and hanging on to every word!

Narrator...

She had some issues pronouncing the names of certain characters wrong and she sounded almost robotic throughout the entire reading. Made me want to go and read the book myself. Other than that, I love the book but the narrator....eh.

Good cozy mystery

It took me awhile to get used to the new narrator. The mystery was interesting. I do plan to continue the series.

Horrible editing esp along series

It’s ok- but ... def not great. Narrator good on male voices, not so female characters. Proofing/editing horrible.

Easy Listening and Great Reader!

I enjoyed the "telling" of this book. The narrator is easy to listen to and creates drama when called for. The story can stand alone or can be enjoyed as the next entry in the series. I hope Ms. MacInery continues as I am anxiously awaiting the next offering!

Not the same Lucy Resnick

Why do they change narrator part way thru a book series?

Its just not the same - and not as enjoyable as the previous two.
