Wow! This book was recommended to me by a friend and I initially thought oh here goes another boring horror anthology written by a King wannabe. How I found myself completely wrong and must apologize to the author Minter. Who shows great talent and skill in crafting a decent horror story. My favorite one was “Midnight Rain” when Eli and his men who are bounty hunters ride into this unknown town called Solemn Creek. I not only found this story quite intriguing but skillfully narrated as well by Donavan which made it almost like watching a movie because you could actually visualize what was taken place as he vividly narrated the story from beginning to end. Another one of my favorites was “The Lottery” which I interpreted in the story as a moral lesson in the sins of greed and what it may cost you in the end, without giving to much of this terrific story away. Overall, all the stories was very good and I feel this book earned every star I gave it! Damn good read.

Excellent!

Seldom do I find an horror anthology that’s interesting from beginning to end. Seldom do an horror anthology grabs my attention and never lets go. Seldom do I enjoy every freaking story in an anthology. Well, I be damn, if this audiobook did not accomplish all three. The narrator was on point and did a phenomenal job in making these stories so freaking interesting it was like watching a movie. I would give this audiobook seven stars if I could.

Minter has created a diverse group of stories here that appears to cross all different periods in our century, but the one thing that collectively brings them together is that they are all darn good and interesting enough to make me want more of this type of storytelling from an author with this type of creativity and talent.

Good Read.
