The Dark Side of the Moon
Ever since shape-shifter Elin escaped to Whidbey Island, danger has stalked her every move. Her human traits, combined with her unique supernatural gifts, make her a prized being to be possessed... or destroyed. It is only the passionate attraction she shares with were-hound Sean Black that gives her hope for her future - if she can elude the lethal predators who are hot on her scent.
Hides Danger and Desire....
Sean knows that Elin, with her delicate beauty and seductive powers, is his one perfect mate. The woman who can restore his humanity and make him stronger than ever. He'll need that strength and more to protect her from those who wish to destroy him and everything he desires. For Sean carries a secret that binds him to an enemy from the past and to a darker, deadlier force - a malignant evil that is hunting the women of Whidbey Island....

This book was so amateurish and juvenile. And too much drama was misused to try to add intrigue, atmosphere, and interest and combat the immature nature of this novel. It didn’t work at all. It just added to the reasons to dislike this book. I’ve listened to worse books but not many. This book isn’t bad; it’s just not good. The narrator had a lot of voices to make, and she did okay with them. I didn’t like her take on all of the voices, but overall, her work was okay. Her voice added to the immature sound of the main female character, Elin. And the overly-dramatic nature of the writing was heightened by the dramatic take of the narrator, which was unappealing. Finally, there was a voice of a troll or something that was utterly laughable, but I think she did her very best. I think it would be a hard voice to do for any female narrator without it being funny. And the so-called sex scenes may as well have been left out. They added nothing, since they were too brief, lacked detail, and, once again, seemed to be written by a 12-year-old who has never had sex but wrote them based on immature and ignorant fantasies. My distaste of this book is great enough that I will never try this author again. The risk is too great.
