Publisher's Summary

A woman is murdered in an empty house. Within 24 hours there is another horrific murder using the same method. The detectives soon deduce that the victims are random, but the locations are not. The killer looks for the right house - somewhere he won't be disturbed.

When a man confesses, it looks like the case is closed, but Detective Stephen Greco is unconvinced. Can he keep control when things get personal?

Excellent story

Well I must admit it took me a few attempts at starting this book. The first few chapters are hard going but once got into it I finished it within the day. It got me hooked! Now down loading the next one.

Sound quality is terrible

Not a bad story, with some decent twists.

I thought the OCD angle to the DI a bit silly

But the audio is shocking.......

I am not sure if it is the narrator or the production but some parts of the speech come over at normal volume, then i seems to change to being a whisper. I spent 6 hours constantly turing the volume up and down and rewinding (?) to re listen to a part a missed.

Superb

Well written and addictive story, only after knowing the ending do the clues become apparent which is how it's supposed to be but often isn't. Well performed by Niocolas Camm who brings the characters to life.

Good follow up to the first DCI Greco book

I enjoyed this as much as the first in this series and have bought the third. Our hero is nearly as gloomy, again with good reason, and the final incident opens up possibilities for book three

Enthralling to the end

a very cleverly woven tale full of interesting twist and turns and i was left guessing right till the end... highly recommended. i usually prefer to read a real book or ebook but as i have been unwell lately and unable to remain upright for fear of nausea, this form of helping pass the time is wonderful.

Building to an interesting series

Enjoyed this book which is starting to show an interesting direction for this series. I'm liking its raw rural-ness. Short stories compared to others but just as packed with the highs and lows you'd expect.
