When a catastrophic EMP strike plunges the country into darkness, journeyman electrician Luke Harper and his wife Caitlyn find themselves trapped on a Missouri highway as civilization crumbles around them. As vehicles die and planes fall from the sky, Luke's prepper skills are put to the ultimate test.

Fighting their way through the chaos, they forge an unlikely alliance with a haunted ex-soldier and a compassionate nurse. But their journey to Luke's hidden Ozark homestead becomes a desperate race for survival as society unravels hour by hour. When ruthless scavengers begin targeting isolated homes, Luke must decide how far he'll go to protect not just his carefully-built sanctuary, but the makeshift family he's gathered along the way.

Bigger portions missing - references to confrontations never read happen all over the beginning. Not up to par with so many great post EMP stories out there.
