Larissa Hostetler is on the run after an arranged marriage to Silus, her abusive, immortal husband. As Silus hunts his disobedient wife, he plots her painful atonement. But Bishop King, the most powerful and eldest immortal in The Order, finds Larissa first, and he has plans of his own.

A deadly vampire is slaughtering mortal women in the woods, drawing unwanted attention from the media that threatens to expose their species. The Council is hard pressed to hunt and destroy the creature, but other upheaval is at play.

Immortals on the farm are keeping secrets. Vows will be broken and lives eternally changed as appetites for vengeance grow.

Absolutely amazing!

☆☆☆☆☆
Dark Exodus was an incredible, thrilling, and pulse-pounding read. It was much more action packed than Original Sin. In it, the author brings us back into the unique world of the Amish Vampires.
At the end of Original Sin, Larissa ran from her abusive, immortal, vampire husband, Silas. As this book begins, Bishop King, head of The Order, has taken on the task of finding her. He is the oldest and most powerful immortal in The Order. He has his own reasons for finding her apart from protecting her from Silas, who is already planning her punishment when she’s found. So much goes on within the pages of this book. Aside from Larissa’s story, there is a monster killing women in the forests but Kane struggles to get The Order to believe him regarding who he feels is responsible. The final plot consists of secrets being kept in the home of Larissa, Adam and Kane's parents. Who will survive when all three stories reach their climaxes?
This story kept me fully engaged from start to finish. My pulse raced and my adrenaline pumped as I hung off the edge of my seat. I listened to this audiobook and Lucinda Gainey did a truly phenomenal job. During one scene, where she voiced the monster in the woods, she freaked me out with how scary she sounded. I loved hearing her voice all the different characters. I am so excited for the next book in this series! I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Exciting! Crazy! And The ENDING...

After listening to Original Sin, I couldn't wait to listen to Dark Exodus. I was not disappointed! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I went through so many emotions, there were times when I just wanted to SCREAM, and then the ending!
Lydia Michaels does not disappoint, she will have you twisting and turning throughout this book, and by the end, you will desperately need to listen to Prodigal Son.
Lydia Michaels writes Dark Romance Beautifully! Thank you for another Amazing book. Now on to Prodigal Son...

Great story but bad narration

I loved this story and was excited to see what became of Larissa after book one. However I didn't like the narrator's voices for the men at all.

Amazing second book in the series!

This was a phenomenal, thrilling, action-packed read. We return back to the world of the Amish Vampires. At the end of Original Sin Larissa ran from her abusive, immortal vampire husband Silas. Now, the head of The Order, the oldest, most powerful vampire is tasked with finding her.

Lucinda Gainey’s narration brought this story to life and I was captivated from the first page. Being brought back to this unique world in the form of this audiobook was just what I needed. The book was intense, raw, emotional, dramatic, and had so much suspense. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

A great continuation

Consider me wowed!! This is a great continuation of the Order of Vampires Series. As plots thicken there are more twists and storylines that keep you wondering. Lydia Michaels knows how to capture the reader’s attention and keep it there to the very end. The whole book was a roller coaster of intense and raw emotions, powerful drama and suspense made creditworthy by the narrator. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Excellent continuation

I had to relisten to book one since I listened to it two years ago. I thought I'd skip through it just to do a quick reminder, but I couldn't make myself do it. I had to listen to it all. It was just as good the second time and set up this next book perfectly.

DARK EXODUS picked up where ORIGINAL SIN left off. I continue to enjoy the originality of Amish Vampires. I became even more invested in the characters, loving how the author is building the story. My heart ached through parts of this as well as completely broke at one point. But I laughed a few times as well. We are left with more questions and a cliffhanger that made me yell, noooo! I look forward to the next book!

Lucinda Gainey is an excellent narrator. She voiced all the characters well with an emotional performance. This book rolled like a movie in my head.

What a story!

This second book in the series is really ramping up the series as to what's to come. There is a lot happening in this book with the Hostetler family. Larissa finds her true mate with Bishop King, Cain is finding his purpose in life which could set him down a dangerous trajectory. Ana and Adam are pregnant, but Ana's link to Cain proves to be a difficult situation. Jonas is struggling with his calling. So much is being brought to light and yet keeps us wondering about what is to come. I am truly immersed in this world and everything about it. I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series!

I did listen to this book and the narrator did a great job with the story and bringing it to life. Can't wait for the next one!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
Book #2 in The Order Of Vampires

paranormal romance, vampires, Amish community, secret society, fated mates, suspense, mystery, murder, romance, steamy, urban fantasy, family drama, family series, series, destiny, multiple pov

Larissa Hostetler and her family are facing a lot of changes in their family. In book #1 it is hinted that Larissa escaped from an abusive marriage and Bishop King, the most powerful and eldest immortal in The Order has gone after her to retrieve her, however, he discovers that Larissa is his fated mate. Will they be able to be together and demolish her ties with her husband, Silus. Kane while on his travels has made a connection between the human world and his kind and goes back and forth in his involvement in the family drama. Abilene and Jonas have known that they were not fated mates but have lived hoping that it wouldn't be a problem until recently it is discovered that his fated mate is calling for him. Adam and Annalise's baby is due. Yep, a lot of multiple pov's but overall enjoyed the drama and suspense.

What a sequel!

After listening to Original Sin, I knew I had to listen to Dark Exodus ASAP! Per usual with all Lydia Michaels reads, this story will make you feel all the feels. Though focusing mostly on Larissa (Adam from book one's sister), we also get more storylines for previous couples from book 1 which definitely bring the angst and emotional damage, to balance out the spice which is present in spades. It is nearly impossible to review without massive spoilers, but this was a solid follow-up to Original Sin, and I can't wait to see what happens in book 3! Reading book 1 is a must, and this does end on a cliffhanger.

I need more!

This is the second book in The Order of Vampires series, an Amish Vampires Romance. The series continues where the first book left off. Therefore, it is recommended to listen to Original Sin before this one. Bishop Eleazar King and Larissa Hostetler's story is emotional, suspenseful, intricate, and entertaining. They are both fantastic and intriguing characters. There is a lot going on in this story: intrigue, family drama, danger, and twists and turns. The cast of supporting characters is impressive, and they have an important part in this story. The world building is imaginative, and original. I enjoyed it. Lucinda Gainey did a nice job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Prodigal Son, the next book in the series, to know what happens next.

What an ending!

This was as good as the first book! Larissa, who fled her abusive husband, works in a club… as a dancer. She fears that Silas may find her so she keeps to herself. The only one who knows where she is is her brother Cain. Until the day the Bishop enters the club…. That story is one I will NOT spoil.

This is a good book. The characters are interesting.. the storylines are good and make you want to know more. I enjoyed the book!
