USA TODAY best-selling author and Amazon All-Star Award winner of The Last War series, The Age of Embers series and the Swann series presents the Dark Days of the After series. With hundreds of reviews (series wide) at a 4.8 star average, this high octane, tour de force series is post-apocalyptic fiction at its finest!
As the South American army wages war on the Chicom regime inside California’s most populated cities, the San Francisco survivors find themselves out of supplies and caught in the crossfire of the two warring armies. If they hope to escape the downtown ruins, they’ll have to cut a hot trail through the middle of a war zone and pray they can safely make it to the Oregon homestead.
The Dark Days Series puts ordinary citizens on the front lines of a domestic conflict that was never supposed to happen, one that will either unify the country or break her for good. This intense new tale of strength, survival and patriotism marks the start of a brand new series critics are calling “jaw-dropping”, “prolific”, and “a post-apocalyptic tour de force”.

Kevin Pierce is the undoubtedly the best choice for narrating this series. His tone and inflection hypnotize you to keep guessing as well. I can’t wait for the next book. 👍🏻

The couples are being carved out, matching up as they go through danger, death, fighting, torture and creating their own society in Five Falls, Oregon. There is a traitor in the midst, as yet to be uncovered. The extremes of some of the actions, particularly of some of the female warriors makes me wonder just how all this will affect their futures and the futures of those they love. PTSD has no gender or set age group. It's like Ryan Schow and Mark Dawson looked at the same style situations, then Mark said "let's extend some grace, give time to change while sharing the Gospel. Ryan instead chose to get rid of the hostiles so there's less backbiting later, but this approach gives more time for forward movement unhindered into the next battle. As far as prepping tips, I like that Ryan has chosen Krav Maga so that everyone can contribute as a warrior. Great Read...but when will the next 2 books be on Audible?
