Far beneath Daring castle lies a polished stone vault made from a material not known in all of Talana. The contents within unknown, but the Daring line has sworn an oath to protect its contents at any cost.

With the castle under siege, and supplies dwindling, Princess Raihana Daring, the only living child of the king, and heir to the throne, throws the castle and the adjoining village into mayhem with her drunken antics.

A chance encounter with a strange boy who knows more about the vault beneath the castle than he should, Rai uncovers a plot of the sieging army to breach the vault. Raihana must rise to her station and cast off her rebellious past or damn the entire world to ash when the contents of the vault is released.
