Publisher's Summary

The Walker Brothers. Tall, dark, and deadly, these three brothers run Walker Security. Each brother is unique in his methods and skills, but all share key similarities. They are passionate about those they love and relentless when fighting for a cause they believe in, and all believe that no case is too hard, no danger too dark. Dedication is what they deliver; results are their reward.

Being a divorce attorney for the rich and famous isn't all it's cracked up to be. Julie Harrison has learned that love doesn't last, and she's sworn never to make the same mistakes as her mother - or her clients. She uses the games men play to keep them at a distance. The only man who managed to break down her walls was Luke Walker, a Navy SEAL who loved her and left her...and changed her forever.

When Luke arrives back in New York, running Walker Security with his brothers and having left his Navy SEAL days behind, he sets his sights on Julie, the woman he's always wanted and couldn't have. Except she runs from him every time he gets close.

But now one of Julie's clients, a powerful judge, gets involved with a dangerous cartel, and his soon-to-be-ex-wife ends up dead. Julie's next on the list, and she finds herself on the run from those who believe she knows too much and counting on Luke to keep her alive. In the deepest, darkest moments of the night, passion will bring them together while danger threatens to tear them apart. Can Julie and Luke trust each other and find their happy ending before they find the end?

Wow! Very Poor Writing.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is the worst example of an Alpha character that I've ever read. It was so corny from the beginning to the very end. Every chapter was predictable.

Has Dangerous Secrets turned you off from other books in this genre?

This book has not turned me off from the genre, but it has definitely turned me off from anything written by this author. I listen to several books a week during my long commute to work and back. I'm just glad I didn't cause an accident by how often I had to roll my eyes at something the hero said.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator was the only redeeming quality of this audio book,

Any additional comments?

I always finish a book that I've started, and I have to say that I couldn't wait for it to end. Save your credit or your money and choose another book.

Eric, Luke and Julie . . .

Luke gets his chance to finally show Julie there's more to him than love'em and leave'em. Julie took a chance and let down her guards once with this man. Now she has a chance again to feel the freedom of having it all. She just don't know if it will turn in to more and she's not sure if she wants to take that chance and see where things go. Having things move closer and time become limited. They both find that the other means so much more than just the here and now. Julie finds that her latest divorce case me be more than she can handle but of course she will not let other see that. Good thing that Luke is there along with the others of Walker Security.

I must say that I did enjoy the story. I could have loved it, if I would have had some more answers to questions. There were some characters there and then not. There were so events that took place but then they were over. I just wanted a bit more.

Luke and Julie come to life with the vocal performance from Eric Michael. He does the job for me. He makes me feel as if I am right her for it all. The smooth timber he provides our male characters makes this wonderful. I could feel the strength of his voice. The recording was smooth and clear. I was able to listen at my preferred speed with no issues at all.

Awesome book

Excitment, danger, romance and intrigue. This book has it all, including the Joker of the family. They are dedicated especially to family and those they consider family. This is a great book. The narrator is great the voice deep that draws you in.

Dangerous secrets

This was good, so good! But perhaps a little rushed here and there.... a little ‘scattered’, if that makes sense.

I love Luke... Julie gets tiring, more backstory would have fixed that. Opportunity missed.

Fantastic narration!

Steamy hot hot hot.

Glad it was a package thing... would I have paid a credit? Probably.

Loving this series

Lisa Renee Jones continues her romantic suspense series of the Walker brothers with Julie and Luke. After their introduction in the first book, I was looking forward to hearing more from these two. Their history was evident, and easy to see there is more to their story. The two began dating, but when Navy Seal Luke was sent on a mission, their separation ended their relationship. Now with Royce and Lauren's impending marriage, the come back face to face. I love Luke, his possessiveness is clear with a slight hint of dominance. When Julie is caught in a dangerous situation with a divorce case she is working on, Luke is there is protect her along with his brothers. Jones gives us just enough suspense and heat to make these books so good to listen to. Royce, Lauren and Blake all make appearances in the story too, which I love. When a series has characters that cross into the other stories, it's like getting to know them so well, we are living the situations right along with them.

Eric Michael Summerer continues the narration of this series with his incredible voices. He brings just the right amount of suspense and passion into the portrayal to keep you glued to the book!

I enjoyed it up until the end. It was wrapped up quickly with lose ends... almost like the author was over it and wanted to move on. Otherwise - I liked the characters and their challenges.

I love the Walker brothers

I like action and mystery with my romance... And these brothers fill the bill, alpha gentlemen that aren't afraid of love.

Enjoyed the narrator very much. His voice and diction work well on faster speeds which is awesome when time is short.

Okay

The ending is disappointing and the story overall was just okay. Hope the next one is better.
