Female Reader

The female reader’s voice inflection was irritating throughout the story. Definitely NOT the voice of a badass female detective.

Enjoyed the story

Hated the narration... almost didn't finish the book because of it...but am glad I did.

Good cop, bad green beret

Ex-green beret Jacob King is the strong very tall, silent type that keeps to himself working for Walker Security. He's lost everyone dear in his life and has seen some horrible things you can't unsee.

Then he's assigned to be a body guard for Jewel Carpenter a cop with a sarcastic attitude. It helps her stay alive, keeps the guys treating her as a team member and not a lady on the job. Jewel is has lost a number of loved ones in her life and thus she comes off strong willed and won't let anyone push her around, nor get emotionally close. She definitely doesn't want Jacob and his 6 foot plus body guard following her around while she's trying to do her job especially while she's getting death threats and she works better alone...or so she tells herself.
Jacob is just as strong willed and won't take no for an answer. The chemistry heats up between the two and it become hate to love, love to hate you etc....and personal walls come down. When each others past come full circle neither expected what would happen.

Google maps is that you?

It was actually one of the better stories of the series but MAN it was like listening to google maps read a full novel. This hands down was the worse narration I've come across. The guy wasn't too bad but the female narrator should practice or find another career.

Narration

Female narrator takes away from the story. Not good. Very robotic with her parts and when speaking the male character parts is even worse.

I love the Walker Security and the Savage Series!

Good story

Narration was awful- just not good at all; story was good but couldn’t get past the bad narrators

Great book and series but the narration:(

I loved the story and the series but the narrators voices were not my favorite. The other books had great narrators like lance greenfield and joe Arden. It was too obvious that they were putting in a voice. The females voice was to deep like she was trying to be sexy. Sometimes I couldn’t tell if it was the male or her speaking.. the males recording seemed like they were recording it on an iPhone in the bathroom. I know I’m harping on the narration but for me when I click on the sample to hear a little of the book the voices are what really seal the deal for me. I still loved the story but probably won’t listen to it again unfortunately

These two are strong and stubborn and so good together! I enjoyed the suspense and the hot romance.

Couldn’t finish it.

Normally, I can ignore the voices and inflections of the narrators. Not this time. They made it unbearable to continue listening. As much as I love all of Lisa Renee Jones’ other books, I just couldn’t with this one.
