I have laughed and cried multiple times in each book. The add in detail of Reese changing the ringtone on his woman’s phone to Sam smith unholy had me looking it up and reminding myself of the song and it just brought the characters fun silly romantic nature to life and I did have to chuckle cause it was ridiculous lol. The extra details like this make these books amazing.

Absolute Must~Listen Title!!!

Dangerous Mind is the fifth audiobook in Riley Edwards’ fantastic Takeback series. This is Cole and Mia’s story, and it’s an emotional quagmire. After a incredible summer together, Mia leaves Cole without so much as a conversation as to why. She thought she was doing the right thing as Cole warned her at the outset not to expect love. And even though she did fall in love with him, she left anyway since she did not believe he would ever love her and she also really needed to find herself and grow into the woman she needed to be. Unbeknownst to her, Cole had fallen in love with her too and was going to commit to her, so her leaving the way she did was the ultimate betrayal. But when Mia’s brother calls Cole out of the blue and asks him to take Mia in and protect her, being the stand-up gut he is, he agrees. Little does Cole know, Mia has another reason for being there. She wants him back. But they both have to confront 23 years of miscommunication and feelings of abandonment and betrayal. They both have to face sone hard truths on their mutual road to redemption and a chance at forever. This audiobook really centers on their emotional journey together, more so than in previous audiobooks in the series. And I am definitely here for that! This pretty much hit every feel I had, and I loved it!

The wonderful Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock narrate, and they bring this story to life in such a beautiful way. Emma Wilder’s impassioned portrayal of Mia is absolute perfection, allowing the listener to truly feel every bit of the emotional turmoil this character goes through. And Aaron Shedlock’s voicing of Cole was spot-on, passionately projecting the emotional turmoil, the betrayal, the longing, and the soul-deep love that are embodied in this character. Together, they elevate this must-read story to an absolute must-listen experience!
