OMG LOVE THIS. LOVE. IT.

This is hands down my favorite book of the series so far!! I felt all the feels, was so grossly consumed by it, that I was listening any chance I got!!

Daman and his dragon are EVERYTHING!!

My fav so far!

I just love this series so much and this one has to be my fav so far. I just loved the possessiveness of it. Daman is so misunderstood and Warrin was perfect for him. I can’t wait for Gray and Bellamy.

Another phenomenal story

Sons of the Fallen was already one of my favorite series, but Nick has continued to bring all of the characters to life in a brilliant way!

Daman and Warrin are my favorites of the series, and Nick captured them - and all of the new side characters - perfectly!

I cannot wait for the next book!

beautiful

I love War & Daman. Their love story was so touching. It showed the struggles many new couples face.

Two Grumps make a right!

I didn't realize I was getting tired of the grumpy/sunshine trope until I read this book! what a fresh take in making both characters starting out a grumpy/aloof but through the journey to get to their HEA they end up being the most lovey dovey couple I've read in a while. The continuation of the backdrop featuring demons vs angels was well done but that darn Lazarus 😡 I am reading the series in order so right now I can not fathom him and Alistair getting together. But I can't wait to find out! Nick J. Russo....as always performs with the excellence of a violinist stroking my heart strings...take a bow 😘

So Amazing!

Such a great story! I’ve read the entire series so of course I needed to listen to the audiobooks. I thought Castor and Kyo were my favorite couple but Daman and Warren stole my heart. Plus Nick J. Russo is one of my favorite narrators, he brought the story to life.

Solid

This was a solid installment in the series and a definite improvement over the repetitiveness of book two. Daman appeared as a distant, often aloof character in the first two books, so it was interesting to learn his back story and understand why he chose to keep himself largely separate from his brothers. The romance, although a bit insta love for my taste, was surprisingly tender at times, as Daman allowed himself to become more vulnerable and trusting. Loved the emotional impact of those moments!

Nick Russo narrated the heck out of this and, as in the previous books, was able to give each character a distinctive voice. While I’m still perplexed as to why only the Russian characters have accents — even the isolated forest dwellers in Romania spoke unaccented English! — Nick’s Russian inflections remained mostly consistent. Looking forward to the next book’s release on audio!

It was going so well

I adore this series, I truly do. The plot, the writing, the feels, just everything. As I said in my review of book 2, Daman and Warrin are my faves. IN PRINT. The thing is, the second I heard Graves do a Russian accent in book 2, I knew I'd have issues with this one. There are two narrators I enjoy that do the best Russian accents, Michael Ferraioulo and Kirt Graves. I wanted to hear that type of very pronounced accent in this book, because well, Warrin deserved that, but unfortunately I felt like Nick didn't give me that. Don't get me wrong, I thought he did ok, but I could definitely tell when he stumbled and lost it in different places, such a shame.

I still think this is a must listen, it's very enjoyable, it's a solid book, and the narration isn't awful, as long as you go into it knowing you'll get a watered down accent.
