Publisher's summary

From L.J. Shen, the WSJ best-selling author of Vicious and The Kiss Thief, comes a brand-new angsty, delicious stand-alone in the All Saints series. This friends-to-lovers, boy-obsessed romance will make you cry your eyes out and laugh with joy, sometimes within seconds of one another.

Underneath the goody-two-shoes persona is damaged goods...but can the bad boy across the street save her?

Bailey Followhill is the perfect daughter. Sweet. Charitable. Pretty. Control freak. Not a hair out of place, not an inch out of line, she is everything her troublemaking sister Daria isn't. But when her A game turns out to be a lukewarm C- at Juilliard, Bailey's picture-ready life starts fraying faster than the worn satin ribbons of her pointe shoes. She's becoming a piece of gossip. The troubled child. A drug abuser. No longer the girl her best friend once knew.

Lev Cole is so golden, he's got the Midas touch. Prized quarterback. Football captain. Hottest guy in SoCal. A textbook cliché. But with a girlfriend he doesn't love and a career path he doesn't value, Lev is coasting. The only two things he cares about―Bailey and becoming a pilot―are out of reach.

But Lev is done being satisfied with the life others have chosen for him. He wants to pick his own cards. To demolish the seamless kingdom of lies his family stitched together on the ruins his mother left behind.

The question is, can he save his best friend and his dream before too much damage is done?

This was the perfect addition to this series. Bailey and Lev have such a beautiful friendship/love that has stood the test of time and has been through all the hardships and still survived. The Cole men have a stolen my heart.

Loved it

"Damaged Goods are still good. It's the dents that make them special, that make them survivors, molded by their experience,

I should first state that the only reason I didn't give this a solid 5 was because Broken Knight was my 5/5 in this series, not that this doesn't hold up to it but it's a closer 2nd to Knights story. Knight made me cry this one made me tear up.

Bailey and Lev are childhood best friends, first and really only loves. This story is about unconditional love and how you have to sometimes give tough love to the person you love the most when you see them spiraling out of control. This story is a lot like Broken Knight, but instead Bailey is addicted to pain pills. She is a dancer and rather than rest herself through her injuries she continues to self medicate them by any and all means. Lev and her family try to get her the help she needs but she refuses to admit she has a problem. Bailey helped Lev through his moms death when they were younger and was always there for him. He is trying to do the same for her but she is unwilling to take the help even though she knows she needs it. These young adults have a few pretty intense sex scenes of course but the story is not only first loves, drug addiction, cutting but more importantly being surrounded by family that love and support you through anything no matter what. Lev also has his own story and things to overcome of always trying to please everyone, taking the direction they wanted his life to be instead of what he wants. Your heart breaks for him when Bailey has a very tragic moment and he realized that in order to have her whole, he had to walk away from her.
All Saints High is such a great series, and continues to incorporate the characters from the other books and from Sinners of Saints

eh I'll listen to it this once then never again

loved the narrators, probably would have rated it lower if not for them. while I didn't absolutely hate this book I didn't love it either. some very cringe parts but I'm used to that with this author but it still wasn't her worst.

A long drawn out story with not much to offer.

The story was a bit to drawn out with not much to grab your attention. The voice over was beyond corney.

Finale to the All Saints High series

I've read the entire All Saints High and Sinners of Saints series and this book is their conclusion. This book is the story of Bailey and Levi, son of Dean Cole and the deceased Rosie. Along with Pretty Reckless, this is my least favorite story and I had to force myself to finish it. Bailey is addicted to painkillers and it's just a depressing journey to read about. Also, there is a lot of other-woman drama with Levi's delusional HS girlfriend that he strings along. Bailey and Levi love each other but I didn't feel the romance. There was nothing swoony in these pages, just a lot of emotional turmoil and pain, and some desire and devotion.

All LJ Shen novels have a certain level of angst and I prefer her at no more than Medium on the angst dial. This was just a lot. I may have liked this novel better if I read it but on Audible, I guess the narrator's did too good of a job expressing the characters' misery.

Not like the rest

I usually LOVE LJ Shen’s books. This one does have a very unique story line. It was good, but I did not enjoy the author explaining every little glance or reason for things the characters did in the story. There are things that we don’t need explained. We can infer all by ourselves. In my opinion, it took away from the story.
