Publisher's Summary

With powerful forces working behind the scenes, Daisy seemed to be on the path to what may very well be a rousing victory. Or a glorious death, should she fail. For obvious reasons, she hoped for the former rather than the latter.

She and her friends had persevered and come out on the other side time and again. Now they just had to pull together one last time to stand against their greatest foe. Success would mean victory. Failure would mean the loss of all they held dear.

Alliances had been forged, and forces mustered, and her enemies were square in her sights. It was time to act, and Daisy knew she was in for the fight of her life, and on multiple fronts at that. The struggle would be fierce, and blood would certainly be shed, but at the end of the day, she just hoped the majority of it would not be her own.

A Great Finale By A Master Storyteller

I still can’t believe that this series is over. I’ve loved every moment of it and I’m so glad that Vivienne Leheny was able to bring Daisy and her crew to life. Scott Baron wrote a great story from beginning to end and I’m really glad I got to listen to each story as they were released on audio. The other thing I did was stay away from reviews so that I didn’t accidentally spoil it for myself. But Baron threw in enough “what!?” moments that I don’t think I could have read enough spoilers to actually genuinely spoil all five books.

From the first book in the series to the last – each character has grown so much. We’ve been introduced to so many new people along the way – and each one adds to the story. Those who were lost in other books might come back at some point, so you never know who is going to show up in a Clockwork Chimera book.

The last two to three hours of this book were a sprint. I couldn’t wait to finish it, but I took my time and savored it. Knowing that once I finished it, I was done with it. (I’m not completely done with Daisy, since she makes an appearance in the last few books in Baron’s other series). I’ve come to really like Daisy more and more with every book. You honestly forget some of the bombshell moments from the first two books and each book she’s given more and more reasons to be liked.

There were a few times in Daisy’s War where I was just reading with my mouth agape thinking “nooo” (both good and bad versions of that exclamation). Baron kept me on my toes and kept throwing different curveballs that I didn’t see coming – even 5 books deep. I love when a book that you’re so familiar with can still throw you so far off of its scent. This book and honestly, this series has done that for me in almost every book.

I’m happy that it’s over but sad to see it go. If you wanted to pick this series up, you should. Baron is a master storyteller and the Clockwork Chimera series is proof of that.

This is a review of the whole series

It’s good. I’m not one for an in depth analysis so I’ll keep this short. These books where a really fun read and the character development sucked me into the story on a level that made me tear up at least three times. The references where spot on and I’ve always wondered if I’d ever see anyone try to “Bill and Ted” something, brilliant! Hilarious! Bravo!! Now on to the dragon mage series!!!

A thrilling conclusion to the series

There is a lot to talk about with this book. The conclusion itself was a perfect ending to the series and I couldn’t have been happier with how it ended. You can tell the author planned out this series ahead of time when it comes to time travel. I can’t imagine the amount of prep work and notes he had for these last two books. We finally got answers to some long-running questions as well. The character progression was great. I wasn’t a fan of Daisy at the beginning of the series, you can go back and look at my previous reviews for that. But over the series, she progressed nicely, becoming a character I actually liked, as did all the characters. Overall, I’m incredibly satisfied with this ending.

Loved this book

Loved this book, especially the ending. Having read the Charlie books first, I think it segues straight into his series. Perfect and wouldn’t change a thing. Love the Scott Baron books!

I'm mad its over

I binge listened for a week. If only people would get off social media they would appreciate the fantasy world as much as I do. It helps to make regular life tolerable while thinking of zipping through space or being the only person in L.A. One can dream.

Oh man what an ending???

This series has been a total roller coaster and I have to say I have loved it. I can’t believe how it ended and how you guys kept us on the edge of our seats the entire time. You could totally make several spin offs of this series with some of the characters!!! I wish it had more books but I look forward to reading more of your works and I hope Vivienne is
Narrating for you still. Great work on both of your parts. Thank you

These books just get better and better! This has the ultimate battle with lots of twists, great friends, new allies, surprises, and a great ending! I loved this as much as Firefly, which is saying a lot! It has great companionship, exciting challenges, excellent adventures, humor, and deep emotions.
Terrific narrator!

At the end of Daisy's story, sort of

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I've loved this series, between this and Charlie, I think I actually like this one more. Daisy's solo story is over, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she gets rolled into the rest of the story with Charlie.

Fantastic!

What a great end to a series of books. I have loved all of the books and I am disappointed it has finished but so glad I listened to them. I had goose bumps right at the end when the penny dropped, it was a small thing but fitted in perfectly. I don't want to say any more.
If you want a great listen then you can't go wrong with these books. Thank you again Scott Baron! 🖒🖒
