A murdered rude old man. A nursing home with shady practices. A concerned florist whose curiosity leads her down a dark path of frightening discoveries.
Tracy likes minding her business.
Looking after the customers at In Season flower shop gives her fulfilment.
Her budding romance with Detective Copeland is keeping the butterflies in her stomach very busy.
Caring for her Abyssinian cat, Mr. Sydney, gives her great joy.
Life is good, and Tracy likes it that way, but a mysterious text out of the blue introduces her to a distant relative in a nursing home in the sleepy coastal town of Fern Grove. Her aunt advises her not to get too close to this relative, but Tracy finds herself drawn to this relative and the quirky characters at the nursing home. She regrets getting too close when she discovers the shady practices at this establishment and one of its obnoxious residents is found dead.
She is confused and fearful for the lives of the other residents as she smells something foul in the air.
Everyone seems eager to sweep this murder under the carpet but not Tracy. She cannot unsee what she's seen and she cannot unhear what she's heard. Tracy believes a killer is on the loose and she's determined to make it her business to find the murderer. Will she be successful or become the killer's next victim?

Pleasing Cozy
This is the 6th book in the Fern Grove Mysteries and it is a delightful cozy mystery. Tracy learns that she has a relative living in a nursing home located in Fern Grove. Her aunt takes her to visit the relative and while they are there, Tracy notices some strange behaviors displayed by the caretakers at the nursing home. One of the inhabitants dies and Tracy suspects foul play due to the things she saw that happened during her visits to the nursing home. Elena Marino's narration is enjoyable. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Good.
Tracy enjoying her flower shop, her boyfriend, and enjoying life. Now finding that she may have another lost relative brings mayhem and murder.
