Publisher's Summary

He's forbidden. He's tempting. He's dangerous.

Cyborgs are no longer mere combat machines and are preparing to integrate into society. Natasha is a nurse at a cyborg rehabilitation center who discovers that her father has hidden one in his home - a soldier nicknamed Fury who was too risky to rehabilitate. If anyone finds out, they will terminate him.

Natasha is intrigued by the challenge of helping Fury. As a woman recently separated from her cheating husband, she can't help but notice his handsome features and muscular build. The more time she spends working with the rapidly-improving cyborg, the more he seems like a better - and sexier - man than her ex ever was.

But Natasha's ex won't accept that their marriage is over. He's not above resorting to threats and violence to get her back. Fury must find a way to protect Natasha and forge a future with her, even though his existence is illegal.

Cyborg Fury is the second book in the Burning Metal series and a stand-alone, full-length science-fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

Alpha Alpha

this is book 2 in the Cyborg books. This book was great. I liked the way Natasha wanted to help the Cyborg Fury after her father died and she found him in his basement. After working with him and getting the program that was introduced to the Cyborgs of Blue sector, he finally started to become more human. She also was also falling i love with him and he already decided she was to be his. She also had to deal with her estranged husband who would do anything to get her to come back to him. Even trying to cause harm to Fury. However, all things have a way of working themselves out. I received this book from the author for a fair and honest review. I have enjoyed both book 1 and 2 of this series.

Fast and Furious …. Cyborg Style!

Lisa Lace delivers another fast paced Cyborg story full of drama, action, suspense, romance and a little danger. I really like the man and machine mix and how Lace humanizes the cyborgs but doesn't overwhelm the reader with a lot of scientific details. I also like how these characters become aware of their past and adapt to their environment. These stories are quick, and fun to listen too.

As usual, Michael Pauley does an outstanding job narrating. He's got a great voice that is perfect for portraying a cyborg character.

Cyborg romance

This is a good addition to the Burning Metal series. Cyborgs are a blend of human & machine. They are a military experiment that gets out of control.

Natasha leaves her cheater of a husband and moves in with her dad. Little did she know that he dad had taken his work home! The Cyborg sector is closed but her dad manages to bring one that was going to be destroyed home in hopes to save him.

Her husband is such a pain! He keeps trying to force her to get back with him. Such a jerk.

John is a great character and I was a bit sad for him since he likes Natasha. But unfortunately, Natasha has eyes on a certain cyborg named Fury.

The narrator does a good job bringing the story to life. There is drama, suspense, action, and romance.

Fast & furious, smoking hot journey

Any additional comments?

The closure of Cyborg Sector has affected the life of everyone. As old jobs were shut down new jobs were open. Dr. Daniels was one of the ones who were forced in to retirement but he does not feel like his job with his cyborg has been finished. His daughter Natasha however has entered into the Cyborg Rehabilitation Center to help cyborgs adjust to their new life.

When Natasha’s live-in boyfriend deliberately has her catch him in bed with another woman her world is tossed upside down and an unexpected adventure begins. Natasha moves back in with her father and discovers that he took his “work” home with him illegally. She is introduced to the cyborg Fury. She wants Fury out of the house but when her world is flipped upside down again she begins to rely on him.

What ensues is a fast and furious, smoking hot journey that will change them both forever.

Cyborgs Rule !!!

I totally LOVED this audiobook !! Lisa Lace has outdone herself on this one. Every emotion immaginable, plus sizzling sex scenes along with elements of desire and intrigue all wrapped up in the form of an audiobook! What more could an avid reader/listener ask for? The once thought uncontrollable, violent cyborg renamed Fury by the scientist who just could not give up on him, is reformed with the help of an upgrade to his programming by the good scientist's daughter Natasha and her Cyborg Tech friend, John, after her fathers death. As his self awareness grows, so do the feelings of love Fury and Natasha share for each other. Remembering his past life as a police officer, Fury walks the streets at night as a peaceful vigilante trying to help others without causing harm or exposing himself as an illegal Cyborg. Journey with this couple as they traverse the dangers involved on their path to a true and permanent love. A WONDERFUL addition to any audio library.

Lisa does it again

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Lisa Lace is an awesome story teller. I believe I have listened to almost all of the Terramates books and have enjoyed each one. Just started this Burning Metal series and am enjoying it as much as the Terramates Series. Lisa has quite an imagination and a unique way of getting the story across to the reader. As in this book and all her others, she gives you an exciting love story. Michael Pauley does a great job of narrating this book. He does a great sexy man as well as a good female. There is no problem with his distinction between the characters. Love this story between Fury and Natasha. Their story in the Cyborg world was very intriguing. Just wish I could have found out what happened to them after they finally got together. Would be a good sequel.

a cool story

apart from the erotic drama, the mystery of who fury was and how he come to be was pretty nice. loved john character he was so sweet and interesting and pretty helpful and resorceful for what I saw.
nick was an a**hole that was pretty clear and well natasha and fury had this interesting relationship, but I was entertained by the way he went all vigilante on nights, and that he was pretty fast in developing as a character.

Am I The Only One Who Rooted for John?

Cyborg Fury is the second book in the Burning Metal series and I think it's going to surpass the Terra Mates series because this book is the best yet!

Natasha's is a nurse married to degenerate bar owner, when she catches him with his pants down she hightails it to her widowed father’s house and wouldn’t you know it, her bad luck continues, when first she finds out dear old Dad is harboring a cyborg destined for the scrap heap because of anger management issues and then adding insult to injury Pops has the nerve to up and die leaving Natasha in charge of the irritable cyborg.

Desperate for help Natasha sneakily enlist the help of her co-worker John, out of all of the characters in this book I fell in love with John the most! He’s attracted to Natasha, but even when she shoots him down he not only helps her with her cyborg issues, he comes to her defense when her erstwhile hubby comes a knocking, John is really a stand-up guy and I hope he gets his own story told!

Lisa Lace’s stories are lightweight enjoyable listens with lots of heat added, her writing just keeps getting better and better.

Sigh… what can I say about the narrator Michael Pauley, at this point I’ve listened to several books he has narrated and sometimes he does a four star job and other times a three star job, this one is 3.5, sometimes when he’s narrating his voice sounds robotic and it’s strange to me, because it’s only when he reading the narrative part, when he’s voicing the character’s words he always does an awesome job. He has the potential to be much better and I know he will find his stride.

Great Addition

Where does Cyborg Fury: A Science Fiction Cyborg Romance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I received story for an honest review.

This story takes place about two years after the first book. I enjoyed this addition to the Burning Metal series. I loved the interaction between Fury and Natasha. I was a bit surprised by Fury's actions prior to receiving the upgrade, but it didn't detract from the story. I liked way the characters were flushed out. The way that Natasha's ex changed showing his more criminal side.

The ending pulled together nicely and giving it a well rounded feeling.

What about Michael Pauley’s performance did you like?

I really enjoyed his narration. He does a great job especially with the cyborg voices.
