Publisher's Summary

For centuries Dethan has been trapped in a fiery inferno for defying the gods and snatching the power of immortality. Condemned to have his battle-hardened body licked by flames only to regenerate and be consumed all over again, Dethan has lost all hope--until the goddess of conflict appears. She will release him from torment--if he'll use his power and strength as a warrior to raise an army and defeat a fierce enemy faction of gods. Free to live as a man once again, Dethan meets Selinda, heir to the throne of Hexis, and his thoughts quickly turn from the conquest of cities to the conquest of this headstrong beauty.

Betrothed to a cruel, calculating power monger, Selinda needs a champion, and so Dethan enters into another bargain: If she will share her bed--and her body--with him, Dethan will save her city from destructive forces within and without. As the lovers ignite a searing passion, Dethan will risk all, even the wrath of the goddess of conflict, for a chance to make Selinda his forever.

Contains mature themes.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

I loved this book.... The hero & heroine were flames but each saw the other as perfect. Definately a big shift from her Nightwalker series but in this new world she has once again invented... Once you start, it's just too darn hard to stop

This is my second male-narrated book & I will say it was a splendid choice for this series! I can't wait for next book!

Nice start to new series.

Story line was good, and should keep you interested to the end. Good amount of action, and you identify with the hero. There is, as always, someone in the story you will find yourself wanting to kill. We do get our HEA by the end and you will be glad of it. There is abusive behavior that I found myself unable to except, but that to worked itself out by the end of the book. I am looking forward to the next installment of this series.

Amazing narrator

Amazing narrator and great story overall, but the female character is vaguely pathetic. Thankfully, not pathetic enough to ruin the story.

Exciting and enthralling

Dethan is one of your brothers who are immortal. But their arrogance in thinking that deserved to be immortal caused them each to be cursed. Each brother is in a different place but somewhere unknown by the others. Dethan 's curse was to burn in fire every night while in the hells.
Weysa, one of the godesses came to him. She said that there was a war between the gods happening. She would release him from hell if he helped her gain worshippers and fight battles in her name. He would still burn once a night but he would be free otherwise. He agreed.
Selinda was the daughter of the ruler of Helix. She was promised in marriage to an evil man. When she meets Dethan she asks him for his help.
This book revolves around how Dethan battles for Weysa, helps Selinda and falls in love all while trying to figure out who to help his brothers to get free of their curses.
I enjoyed this book and will be going into book number two. There are aspects of betrayal and plenty of action involved in this book. It is exciting and enthralling.
The narration was good but there were a few places that I had to replay because I couldn't quite understand what she said at first.

Thor is that you!?

Well wow 😳 I was not expecting that. Roger Wayne sounds like Chris Hemsworth when Dethan speaks... Dang. He has a very nice voice to listen to, to begin with and then he does that. So great voice and narrating skills. Nice, it makes me excited to see how be does the other books.

The story is fast paced and feels way shorter than what it is. I enjoyed the book and the audio made it feel like I missed some of it. So this does have the rereading feel to it.

Love the story and the narrator

Loved the story and the narrator makes the Male character sound like Thor from the movies. I was in tears at the end. can't wait for the next book.

The begining to another great series

Ms Frank never fails to draw me into a world of supernatural, but also of passion and eventually love. And she has done so again with this new (for me) series.

Off to grab the next Immortal Brother...
