Acerca de esta escucha
Our current malaise raises questions:
• Are we all soul-stained with selfishness... or is it just a
healthy survival instinct?
• Where is the line between normal self-interest and full-
blown Narcissism?
• How do we distinguish strong leadership from
manipulation? Community from Cult?
Drawing upon court cases and real world experiences, this book shows how cult gurus and “cult cultures” fit a predictable pattern, a common template of destructive traits and tactics. By studying Cult Culture, the author argues, we gain insight into current politics and Fascist demagogues.
First relating his own encounter with disillusioned cult members, author Lance Moore dissects the phenomena, exposing the methods of manipulation found in cult leaders —and on a smaller scale, in our own relationships.
This book is well-researched: it includes over 500 endnotes citing 500 Sources.
We have had some mention that Amazon is being slow to post their Reviews. Here are the reviews already coming in:
-A film producer/scriptwriter wrote: “Overall, this book is very interesting, thoughtful and well-written.”
-A 70-year-old veteran psychologist/counselor stated: “This will become a landmark book in the field.”
-An attorney friend-of-the-author, familiar with Dr. Moore’s other books, stated that this book is “one of your best works.”
-Another author (a JFK-assassination expert featured on the History Channel and other documentaries) said of Cults on Trial, “Highly Recommended!” “…a great writer!”
The average Amazon review rating for Moore’s previous eight books is over 4-stars… so if you see 1-star reviews posted, we can reasonably suspect they are cultists or politically-partisan folks unfairly attacking the book.
About the Author:
Dr. Moore is a Pre-Sentence Investigator for Alabama Circuit Courts, with previous careers as an ordained pastor, college educator, and author. He holds a doctoral degree from Emory University, and has been a repeat guest on various TV and radio programs. His previous eight books have garnered widespread positive reviews.

In two previous highly regarded books on the US Senate, Ira Shapiro chronicled the institution from its apogee in the 1970s through its decline in the decades since. Now, Shapiro turns his gaze to how the Senate responded to the challenges posed by the Trump administration and its prospects under President Biden. Shapiro documents the pivotal challenges facing the Senate during the Trump administration, arguing that the body's failure to provide leadership represents the most catastrophic failure of government in American history.

Richard Painter and Peter Golenbock present a clear description of rule of law - arguably the single most important principle underlying our civilization. They also describe the abuses of power that have occurred throughout our nation's history. Beginning in Puritan New England with the infamous Salem Witch Trials, American Nero makes vivid stops at The Red Scare of the 1920s, Japanese-American internment, the McCarthy Era, and, much more recently, President Trump's attempt to violate the First Amendment by banning Muslims from entering the US.

Understanding Adolf Hitler's ideology provides insights into the mental world of an extremist politics that, over the course of the Third Reich, developed explosive energies culminating in the Second World War and the Holocaust. Too often the theories underlying National Socialism or Nazism are dismissed as an irrational hodgepodge of ideas. Yet that ideology drove Hitler's quest for power in 1933, colored everything in the Third Reich, and transformed him, however briefly, into the most powerful leader in the world.

How did America end up with a leader who acts so crudely and despotically, and counter to our democratic principles? Why do his followers stick with him, even when he acts against their interests? John Dean, a man with a history of standing up to autocratic presidents, joins with Bob Altemeyer, a psychology professor with a unique area of expertise: authoritarianism. Together, using psychological diagnostic tools, as well as exclusive research and analysis from the Monmouth University Polling Institute, the authors provide us with an eye-opening understanding of the Trump phenomenon.

Historia
From America's beginning, Christians have often merged their religious faith with national identity. But what is Christian nationalism? Paul D. Miller, a Christian scholar, political theorist, veteran, and former White House staffer, provides a detailed portrait of—and case against—Christian nationalism. Miller shows what's at stake if we misunderstand the relationship between Christianity and the American nation. Christian nationalism is an illiberal political theory, at odds with the genius of the American experiment, and could prove devastating to both church and state.

The decline and fall of Rudy Giuliani, from “America’s Mayor” to public spectacle, has all the makings of a modern Shakespearean tragedy. Those who know Giuliani, whose tough leadership and even tougher politics helped revitalize New York City in the 1990s and lead the country through 9/11, have stood by and watched with incredulity as he put himself at the heart of impeachment charges against the President.

The Pope and Donald Trump are on stage in front of a huge crowd. The Pope leaned towards Trump and said, “Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, like that of your followers, but will go deep into their hearts. For the rest of their lives, whenever they speak of this day, they will rejoice!" Trump replies, “I seriously doubt that. With one little wave of your hand? Show me!” So the Pope slapped him. Brought to you by the comic geniuses of Mad Comedy, World's Dumbest President is ...
