WOW & EXHALE.. MY MIND’S OFFICIALLY BLOWN

What an emotional, twisty, action-packed, angsty ride this was as Natalie transformed herself to dole out some well deserved revenge on the Crew of the Upper East Side.. but somewhere along the way she loses herself.. and could possibly lose Penn too - the man she’d loved for eight years. Their road to happiness began in Paris when she was just a naive bohemian eighteen year old virgin and it would come full circle back to Paris.. but it would be a much wiser woman who would return to where it all began. Because Natalie had, over those eight long years, been to Hell and back trusting the untrustworthy, having her dreams cruelly shattered, morphing into someone she was not, rising from the ashes of her naïveté and paying the price for her own sins along the way too. Penn was there by Natalie’s side ready to support and guide the woman he loved.. but even he, the master manipulator, reeled as revenge raged.

K.A.Linde packed so many emotions into this outstanding trilogy.. and each and every chapter gripped, thrilled, shocked or swooned me as Natalie’s riveting rollercoaster journey picked up speed, intensity and climactic uncertainty as boundaries became blurred, personalities changed and uncertain tomorrows loomed. Right from book 1 I knew Ms Linde had written something special, something unique and something that would hold my soul until it’s wickedly wonderful words finally ended.. and wow, what a compelling ride it was. I didn’t always love Natalie and I didn’t always trust Penn either.. but this talented author wielded her magical penmanship and navigated my emotions back to safe shores where love finally stilled the stormy waters in a beautiful HEA ending.

Worth a credit? Each and every book in the trilogy was, IMO, creditworthy. The books came alive thanks to the awesome narration of Virginia Rose who inflected, injected and invoked the feels, the swoons, the heat and the passion that this beautifully twisted cruel trilogy demanded. There weren’t many chapters from Penn’s PoV but Stephen Dexter was good too.

A beautiful cruel series

I was hooked into this story from the prequel and had to continuously listen to all 4 of them. The last book was perfect and has a HEA to it all. Love each of the characters and I fell in love with Natalie and Penn.

review for all three books -

do you love Gossip Girl? if yes then you will love this, if not so much and you have no interest in the upper east side then don't bother. this one is for Young Adults which no one bothered to say so. if not for the fabulous narration this would have been a refund book 1. BTW i Liked Gossip girl This book not so much

Decent story with great narration

This one picks up right after the ending in two and Natalie vows to make those who wronged her pay for all they’ve done. In true Upper East side fashion she does it in designer couture and rocking a pair of Louboutin heels. Natalie learned from the best how to play the game and they won’t know what hit them when she gets through with them.
While I liked books one and two this one was not my favorite of the bunch and seemed to leave me wanting more for Nat and Pen as a couple. I’m guessing there will be more books for this series in the future therefore any questions pertaining to the Crew weren’t addressed at all.
I am a huge fan of Virginia Rose and love everything she narrates and while Stephen Dexter has never been a narrator I sought out in the past he totally owned the character and truly became a force to be reckoned with in this series! I will be looking for more from him in the future!

Superb end to this trilogy and obsessed with the narrator’s voices!!

FINALLY!!! The book I’ve been waiting for…all the Penn and Natalie content! BUT Natalie is trying to revenge everyone for what has happened. Revenge can make people vindictive and desperate so will Penn like this new Natalie? Or will it tear them apart? This book is the best conclusion to this series as the storyline all comes together from the first 2 books!

Stephen Dexter’s voice as Penn is so seductive, pleasant and completely swoon worthy! The way he expresses the narration is complete fire! Slow and breathy when it needs to be and intense when it needs to at other times. I’m obsessed! Virginia Rose also does an incredible job as well and has the best male voice!

Awesome series

I wanted to say to Natalie , you were raised better, but I am glad in the end it worked for her and Penn.

Irritating

This is a review of the series. There’s potential here for a good story. You can tell it wanted to be good. The themes of rich vs poor, bullying, lovers from different social groups, familial expectations, soul searching, finding one’s way, etc. are all good concepts.
Oh man, but there was so much wrong with the execution. There were so many inconsistencies in the characters themselves, as well as contradictions in the story from one paragraph to another. Combine this with a shocking number of mis-read or maybe mis-written fails (one example among many: “he fell to his feet” ...!! He’s already on his feet! He obviously fell to his knees... ugh, it’s small, but there were a lot of this type of jarring mistake, a big pet peeve).
All of this combined with several eye roll inducing totally implausible moments makes this series really disappointing. And yes, I listened to all three (on accelerated speed just to get through it), but only because they were available through audible escape and I needed to see where the train wreck would go. I wouldn’t spend a credit on any of the three.

Uggggg! These four books were just ok.

it's a bit difficult to exactly pinpoint what my problem was with these books and this storyline. Possibly because I grew up in New York my entire life and encountering fictional characters such as these are a bit much. it got a 3 because the writing is good. but the shallowness of the characters I think hurt here. not to mention the storyline has been done so many times. the mash-up of Cruel Intentions and Dangerous Liaisons oh, I think I was hoping for more.

So much drama

I listened to all 4 books and I enjoyed them all. So spicy. It made me realise that I wouldn’t enjoy having this amount of money and influence. I would definitely become like all of them. Of course sometimes there’s light at the end of the tunnel but the power would get to my head for sure.

Cruel Legacy

This book is edgy, and suspenseful and sexy, all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
