Publisher's summary

Some lines are meant to be crossed.

Trent Montgomery knew all about loyalty and responsibility. Tracking down his friend’s long-lost sister and making sure she was safe was just another job, a favor from someone he cared about. He wasn’t supposed to get attached. But when he started to fall for the woman who had been hiding from the world, things got a lot more complicated than he ever expected.

Cheyanne Knightly knew all about living in fear. The life she’d made for her and her daughter was as stable as a house of cards. One stiff breeze could send her whole world crumbling. But when a new guy blew into her small town, stirring up Whitecap’s rumor mill, she found herself drawn to him in a way she never expected.

Lies were told. Secrets were uncovered. Lines were crossed. When the truth finally came out, Trent had to find a way to protect the woman who stole his heart while he tried to earn her trust back.

Some Emotional Scenes

This book only became interesting towards the end. The writer's pace was slow developing the story. There were some sad and suspenseful scenes. Chapter 25, sad scene amongst Sawyer, Georgia, Monica and Luna. LOL, Luna was crazy, she actually punched Trent. The overall narration was okay, Joe Arden was good, Charlotte North voice got to me few times

Suspenseful Small Town Romance

This story grabbed me right from the start. Sawyer is on the run from her abusive husband. Trent was tasked to find her from her long lost sister.

These two have an instant connection from their first meeting. I loved the way Sawyer still trust him even after she learns the truth of why Trent is there. This story is steamy and suspenseful and will have you turning the page.

I enjoyed the narration from Joe Arden and Charlotte North. They brought out the Trent and Sawyer’s emotions and doubts. I can’t wait to check out more from this author.

Meh…

The plot had great potential and wasn’t a loss. However, some bits of dialogue were cringe worthy and cliché, most of which revolved around the “insta-love” of our main characters. Not a bad read, just meh…
