Lacking substance

I have no complaints about narrator Andre Braugher. There have been various narrators for the Alex Cross. This story lacked substance and character development. There was no reason to why Christine showed up. Where did she disappear to after the ice cream? Favorites such as the Cross children Janine and Damon had little roles; Alex's best friendSampson made a brief appearance. No reason for the Mice and Men characters. Their storyline lacked purpose and was boring. It added nothing to the main storyline. OK book , but seemed like a formula written book.

Typical Alex Cross

I enjoyed the latest Alex Cross book Cross Fire. Was concerned to discover a new reader in Andre Braugher but he did not disappoint. It's going to take a little while to totally get used to him but he did fine. Glad that there's some closure to Alex's hunt for one of his nemesis. Don't want to give anything away but I was happy at the end. Looking forward to the next chapter in the life of Alex and family.

Enjoyable -- easy listen

I enjoyed the narrator, and my first listen to an Alex Cross book -- although I may have read one or two awhile back. I agree with the others that bring up some concerns about the story -- characters and scenes that seem to have no point. The ending wasn't high on consistency -- how could our expert villain walk into such an easy take down by Cross.

Given those problems, the book was fun, entertaining, easy to follow, and one I wanted to finish . . . quickly. Maybe another reviewer can provide best choices for Alex Cross books so I can try another.

Great storyline

Kept me interested from start to finish. I loved them plot twists and turns! Nice!

Great story line…

The story was great. Although I like Andre Braugher as an actor, I found that he reads just a tad bit too fast and makes it seem rushed. I must say I prefer Peter J. as a narrator.
