Publisher's Summary

Crimson Arrows: A Bowhunting Odyssey is narrated from the heart and soul of a bowhunter. Spanning three decades of his adventures, Eyad Yehyawi takes you through the emotions, heartbreaks, and successes from his earliest years in Iowa, to physically and psychologically challenging backcountry hunts in Alaska and Canada, to a breathtaking African safari. Every setback and missed opportunity is revealed, along with the rewards earned through hard work and perseverance. Through these 32 stories, Eyad defines his passion for the outdoors, including the disappointments and mishaps, sleepless nights, and tears, and a few instances where death comes calling.

With intense descriptions of his surroundings, animal behavior, and imposing weather conditions, Eyad engages all of your senses as you share his adventures. Whether you long for giant whitetails and spring gobblers, are passionate to pursue mountain goats and moose in Alaska, dream of wading across the tundra for caribou, hope to stalk musk oxen in the Arctic, or aspire to trail a horse-killing cougar in the mountains of Alberta, you’ll find stories here to inspire you.

if you're a hunter it's a must

I really loved this book. it embraces the little things and makes you dredge up some old memories that you may have forgotten. you do not need to be a bow hunter to appreciate this book, it's speaks to all of us and I will listen to this again as I await that bull elk or buck whitetail to cross paths with me this fall. I truly enjoyed this book and will probably order the paperback to give as gifts.

All bow hunters should listen to this

After starting I couldn't stop listening. Could relate to a lot of the stories due to me starting at a young age bow hunting. Very well put together. Will listen to this again.

Although we’ve never met, he took me on every hunt!

Amazing stories told in great detail. You feel you are in the stand, aware of the surroundings, your quarry and checking the wind.

Pretty good listen

Pretty good, but sometimes feels a little repetitive. I listened to while driving, so maybe i was not paying as much attention to the book

Great Storytelling!

Wow! Twenty-five years of great adventures with a bow and arrow. Story-telling style that put me right beside you... and always a "life lesson" drawn from the experience. Will recommend to friends!
