Best friends Annie and Sarah need cash - fast. Sarah, a beautiful, successful lawyer, wants nothing more than to have a baby. But balancing IVF treatments with a grueling eighty-hour workweek is no walk in the park. Meanwhile, Annie, a Harvard-grad chemist recently transplanted to Southern California, is cutting coupons to afford her young autistic son's expensive therapy.
Desperate, the two friends come up with a brilliant plan: they'll combine Sarah's looks and Annie's brains to sell a "luxury" antiaging face cream to the wealthy, fading beauties in Annie's La Jolla book club. The scheme seems innocent enough, until Annie decides to add a special - and oh-so-illegal - ingredient that could bring their whole operation crashing to the ground.
Hilarious, intelligent, and warm, Crimes Against a Book Club is a delightful look at the lengths women will go to fend for their families and for one another.

Would you consider the audio edition of Crimes Against a Book Club to be better than the print version?
This book had me laughing out loud as I was listening to it in the car. The narrator was excellent!!!Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Chloe. She turned lemons into lemonade at the end of the story.Awesome Performance - Awesome Story

Will I listen to it again? Probably not.
The premise was intriguing and I enjoyed the beginning but by the midpoint, I was beginning to tire of Annie's antics and my sympathy for her in particular was wearing thin by the end. There was so much potential in the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the story that as it fizzled out later on, it was disappointing.
That being said, the ending is very satisfying so hang on! The last hour or so is pretty great.
Enjoyable enough to spend a credit

Any additional comments?
I have to say the plot twist in this book was original and a lot of fun. The rich women of La Jolla really are an easy target, and this is a fun, easy novel. An easy, entertaining listen.A sugary, fun read but nothing profound
