Publisher's Summary

She broke the rules. Now he sets the consequences.

Lera crossed the line when she disobeyed River’s orders and went over the Academy wall. Now River wants Lera gone - and Coal is just the officer to make her quit.

For Coal, disciplining a wayward cadet is a matter of routine - but he may be in over his head with this fiery student. Leralynn is far stronger than she looks, and with her eerily familiar chocolate eyes and maddening curves, she’s bringing demons to the surface...demons that Coal thought long buried.

But when a rainstorm threatens to destroy the Lera’s last hope for restoring her males’ memories, the battle of wills between her, and Coal turns to war.

Crime and Punishment is the second episode in the Great Falls Academy novella series, featuring the same reverse-harem cast as Alex Lidell’s internationally bestselling Power of Five series. (Listening to the Power of Five novels is not necessary to enjoy Great Falls Academy.)

Another

Another great book! This had one hot and heavy scene but the rest is a lot of action and intrigue. You see more of the male characters and what they're experiencing in this book, which I like. More anticipation for the next book!! The narrator, Victoria Mei, does an excellent job bringing passion and life to each character.

Amazing

Well Leralynn's trip over the wall wall last night with Tye was bitter sweet. She did get to see all her men River, Coal, Shade, along with tye all together but none of the really remember her as thier mate. Now River and Coal want to make her leave the academy because they can't handle her being they. Tye is a big flirt always around a human princess that thinks she owns him. The only good thing that's happened is while shade doesn't remember her his wolf does. Only when he changes back to human form he thinks he lost time. So no help there.
Then the one tool she needs to get back to the fae land to get help is now forever gone. Things are not looking good.
OMG wow this story is awesome. I couldn't put it down. characters are fantastic. The twist and turns are amazing it's full of danger, mystery, intrigue, action, drama, spice and more. It's not to be missed

Dying for the next one

Again I am loving this. I hate that it ends in a huge cliffhanger. But they are short books so I can get through them quickly. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next.

Exciting

I love these characters, and with each new book, (or reread) I remember all over again why I love the world Alex Lidell has created, and this one was no exception. I'm so excited I was able to read an advance copy, and can easily say this side-series is amazing! I loved seeing all the guys, and Lera as she attempts to help them. It was bitter-sweet to see that they were trying to send her away, but this 'forgetting' is also making room for some hilarious scenes as well! I'm loving the dynamic change this new plot has caused in the quint, and am excited to see what kinds of trouble and mischief Lera finds herself in as the story continues.

I loved listening to this one, and really enjoyed all the emotions that are brought to life in this format! The accents, emotions, and tones used work well for this series, and I enjoy Victoria Mei's ability to work magic with her voice! Mei's narration and Alex Lidell's writing style make one powerful match!

Still Torn!

Lera broke the rules and now she is to be punished. This cadet evokes feelings in him that he doesn't understand and doesn't like. And he's not the only one who feels this way. River wants her gone and is trusting Coal to make it happen. But Leralynn is no average cadet which Coal quickly discovers. Their battle of wills becomes deadly even as Lera loses her last hope for restoring her mates memories.

Again, I am so torn. The writing is excellent, the narration by Victoria Mei on the audiobook is perfect. The story is addictive. I can't stop once I start. This serial was too short but I am assuming that was how this particular story arc went; some may be a little longer, others shorter. What I don't like is the lack of story movement. I stated previously that I do not like amnesia tropes. I was expecting a few more little breakthroughs (the guys glimpsing their true past, getting unexplained feelings, etc.). As this story progressed I even hoped for Coal to regain his memory. Nope. I can hold on a little longer. What I was not expecting was the pure cruelty of River and Coal. A bully romance is one thing, abuse is another. Coal crossed a line into abuse that could have easily been deadly. River exacted punishment in a way beneath him that will haunt Lera even if it wasn't to her. I was disappointed that these men showed sides of themselves that were less than the men we knew from the prior series. Redemption is needed. I need more. I need to know that these are still the same honorable, good men Lera fell in love with. The men that deserve her. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

I can not wait to hear more. The length she is going threw to get her quint back is amazing. She has to think past her needs and find ways to get things back on track. I am loving this mini series and can not wait for more. #AudiobookObsession

Love the series, this is worth it

I adore this series, and this story in particular is one of my favorites, cause Coal.

I enjoy this narrator ‘s interpretation of Lera, I am less sure of the male voices - but really, you can only work with what you have, and there is only so much a female voice can do. It’s harder on the really masculine characters like Coal and River. It must be difficult to perform, really.

To be fair, I have only listened to non fiction until now. This is my first romance with both genders being performed by one person. I may get used to it.

Overall, I love her interpretation of Lera, and she drives the action forward and makes it appropriately exciting and draws you into the story.
I adore this series, and this is worth it, especially if you don’t have time to read but like to listen.

Excellent narration from Victoria

Excellent narration from Victoria. This book continues the storyline of the complex unorthodox relationship between these characters. Looking forward to the next book.

OMG

I did an OMG title due to the events that happen in this short story, it will have your heart hurting for Leralynn. I won’t give away any spoilers, but the narrative is outstanding.

Hard to read.

This book was really hard to swallow. What with Cole practically torturing her, Gavriel who is manipulating her and then River beating Tye. I am struggling. Then she has her hands on the medallion gut instead River destroys it? I'm so upset for Lera!

There were also three times in the audio that I didn't understand one of the words the narrator was saying.
