Publisher's summary

Be ready for some action, humor, and mystery in this anthology with short stories. You’ll listen about gangsters, witches, magic potions, interrogations, werewolves, and murder. Several stories have a murder victim, while others are all about theft or robberies. But in many cases, they spark the imagination and make up for a great way to sit back, relax, and read or listen to stories from a completely different world. Most have some kind of unrealistic or supernatural element to it, which adds a little flavor to them.

Get the audiobook now and find yourself in a fantasy world with secrets and disappearances.

Good book

I like anthologies like this. This one has about 10 or 11 stories in it (I forgot). The characters vary as much as young witch to a mob boss' assistant who falls for the boss' daughter. Some had a definite twist ending, others were predictable. With combos like these, though, there is always something for everyone. So if you don't like one or two of the stories, you may fall in love with the other 7 or 8. That's just how I see it.

Classic mysteries

These detectives and crime stories are fun and light, with a touch of humor. Not so much gore and blood. Really good. Another thing I liked was the surprising turnup of magic every once in a while, which is something that took the stories to a different level.

Fun stories

These are pretty fun to listen to. The voices were great, and the descriptions weren't too long.

Great if you are a sixth grader

Writing so lame that it was funny… unfortunately wasted a credit on this book. Was it intended for tweens?

Not for adults

I finished the first story to see if the odd, stilted language was written that way purposefully. It isn't. Maybe children would find the story enjoyable, but those above 12 or 13 should look elsewhere.

Amateur

Felt like the writing was amateurish, even though they’re meant to be short stories, each had minimal depth to allow in character investment.

Unbearable

These stories were unbearably bad, I couldn't bring myself to listen to all of them. The vocabulary was very limited and the dialogue between characters was laughable. These stories feel like they were written by middle school students and compiled into this book.

Corny and aweful

Got to the end of the first story by fast forwarding. It was painful to sit through with an obvious ending. At least I got a good laugh at how bad it was. Who knows maybe all the other stories are amazing but not worth my time to find out.

for pre teens

This was more for kids, the ages of preteens perhaps, it just wasn't for my adult self.
